    1. von Seeckt got the Swedish order of the Sword knight 1st class on August 29th 1911.
    2. Here are two more with royal commemorative medals: The first one is a bit unusual since it has two of the kings medal. From different kings and on different ribbons. The other has just the commemorative medal of 1948 and the one from 1967.
    3. von der Lochau received the Order of the Sword 2nd class commander as överste (oberst) on 1940-10-22.
    4. There is a Kapitän zur See named Bauer in the book about Finnish awards to Germans in 1918. The book is still available if you are interested in purchasing a copy.
    5. Thanks for the tip! That is a great looking piece but 1980$ is alot of money. On the other hand the complete medalbar will look great. I got some very good help from a fellow member on how to date them according to their painting in the center. BTW. Does it exist any rolls over awarded orders? I would like to know the exact date for my guy. He got a 1st class knight without swords.
    6. I believe the first document is his entry in the Stammrollen or something like that. The last document seem to be his "criminal record" which states that he's not been commiting any crimes or atleast not been punished for any since it states "keine".
    7. They all seem to be awarded to Georg Arthur Lamprecht. So they should belong together.
    8. Hello! Is there any way to date an Orden vom Zähringer Löwen? I need an 1st class knight cross from around 1880 for a medalbar to a Swede but I have no experience in these orders. So how can I tell if a piece is made in 1880 or 1914? Also, what would be a acceptable price for such an order in gold? Any tips on where to buy it? BR Johan
    9. Here are two more miniature bars that are un-named.
    10. This miniature bar belonged to the famous balet dancer Björn Holmgren.
    11. Here are the big size and miniature bar. The miniature Vasa is loose and with its own needle so it can easily be removed and worn alone.
    12. Here is an unusual miniature-ribbon with a Vasa order and the Finnish Pro Finlandia medal. Awarded to the actor Erik Fröling.
    13. The recipient was the famous Swedish balet-dancer Björn Holmgren. I will try to take a few photos tomorrow.
    14. Hello! Sorry for my late reply. Fritz Conrad got the Order of the Sword Commander 2nd class as Kommendör on April 12th 1930.
    15. I will look it up as soon as I get home from Christmas celebration. Merry Christmas to you!
    16. Hello Claudius! Did you manage to find any more information or pictures of Diem? I have what I believe is a complete list of all foreign recipients of the Olympic commemorative medal of 1912.
    17. I got the name by checking the recipients on the list from Great Dane against the list of recipients of the Italian Star. Then checked recipients of the Vasa Order. In the Ordenskalender of 1963 the italian order isn't listed at all and in 1969 it is listed as a Italian Merit order. If it had been listed as the correct order it would have been a much faster ID.
    18. 1) It should be that medal. The english name is "Civil defence medal 1st class". It could be awarded with bar 1939-1940 or 1941-1944. 2) It is probably that cross. The english name is "Cross of merit of the Civil Guards". It was actually in 3 classes. Iron, silver and gold. But the gold crosses were just awarded a handful of times and not to von Bonin. If von Bonin got the iron or silver cross is impossible to know without paperwork or searching through archives.
    19. The medaljbar is identifed with the help of Great Dane! He really is the GREAT Dane! I will reveal the name as soon as I have the medalbar and miniature bar in hand.
    20. Great! Thank you very much! I am trying to ID this medalbar. The Vasa order is bestowed before 1974. The Italian star after 1947 The norwegian medal between 1958 and 1991 So I guess the Dutch medal should also be from somewhere 1950-1980.
    21. I definitly need to find a copy of the books! Would it be possible for you to scan/photo the 69 names 1944-1996 for me? With that list I think I would be able to ID the medalbar. I don't have the medalbar in hand yet, but it does look like a gold medal right?
    22. Thank you for your reply but it was not what I was hoping for. The search continues.... Does the book list alot of Swedes with this particular medal? It seems that the book is very difficult to obtain with none available for sale.
    23. Does it exists any lists over recipients of the medal of the Oranje-Nassau order? I wonder if Nils Gunnar Teodor Holmström from Sweden received the medal? Is there any possibility to look that up? Very few Swedish sources lists medals. I believe it is a gold (gilt) medal according to this pic:
    24. According to the newspaper Uusimaa number 74 of 1918 Holmelund was the only norwegian officer. Below is a clip of the article that mentions that he was probably the only one.
