    3. As most of the men you listed are noble, you can track them down in the Gotha and see if they were alive at all during the DLV periode. David
    4. Congratulations on this great job! Any idea when they will be available?
    5. Hi Stijn As I spot a Fliegerabzeichen when I am correct, you might try his photo at www.theaerodrome.com Furthermore, should he have been a Seeflieger/Marineflieger, I know a guy who might be able to help you with his careerdata at least for the WWI forum. Furthermore, should he made a career during WWII subsequently ( dont think so, as he does not seem to have any WWII medals) you might get the rest of his career at the WAST in Berlin Hope you find this info of some use. regards, good luck and keep us posted here!! David
    6. Hi Ulsterman Well, since you dont have the L?beck rolls yet and as you mentioned yourself, are very busy with other interesting projects, I think we 3 (Stijn, Bernd and me) will get the L?beck project started (hope I do not offend you with that) So Stijn, we are eagerly awaitening you mail nono that is just me getting excited over a new project, as I usually do. Tke your time to mail us (tomorrow will be fine as well ) have a nice saturday evening David
    7. I will take the liberty of putting Bernd's page in Ricks format, willpost the rezult when it's finished regards David
    8. Thanks for all the nice suggestions, working like this will sure be very valuable for collecotrs and researchers. So Stijn, just to let you know: I have some spare time in the coming October (although I have some work gathering already) and as you can imagine I am volunteering especially for any section with the letter M in it hope to hear from you again soon!
    9. That is not to hard (from where I am standing at least) Stijn, did I miss your mail to my personal address or do you still need to send it? PM'd you my address earlier this week. David
    10. I think it is really important that we unite on this, It would be a waste of all our precious time if there are several people with the Lubeck rolls all starting at the same point. So pleeeeaaaase for your own good make have contact with each other here, devide the work and publish together! My bett is that it would be most valuable for if the publication would be in the way Rick and Daniel do theirs. But I just like uniformity (call me crazy). For this we should want to know 1. who has the L?beck rolls already 2. who wants to join (no loads and loads, because coordination will be difficult and so will publication be in the end) 3. Ricks opinion on the endeavour Again I would like to express my willingness to help out with the transcription
    11. Although some rolls have already been acquired by forummembers, I do not know if we have got them all already. I amsure we will find that out soon. Are you only interested in the Lubeck rolls Stijn or would you take on all 3 (1 at the time ofcourse) Please let me know, and we will see what we do in starting up a project on the hanseatics David
    12. So what is the story behind the Order of Milosch the Great? It really looks astonishing!! David
    13. Question on the SEHO's being published: are the once referred to in the 1st ost of this topic the WWI ones or is someone working on the pre 1914 ones as well? I contacted the Archives this week at Meiningen and they told me that as far as the Staatshandb?cher are concerned, the orderslist only gives years and no dates (which I tend to find quite useless, As I am a context fan and like to place the decorations on an exact date in order to find out the exact reason for the award) (this is all pre WWI I am talking about here) David
    14. What is so specific about the Doorn periode? Are there any lists of the HHO awarded in this time? Were it just Knight Crosses or also other grades? David
    15. or check Lukas Gaszewskis ribbon chart sites, most of the ribbons of the continent are there. Dont have the url on hand, but would not be hard to find (google) I guess Lots of luck and keep us informed of what you find out, or when you ID'd the ribbon. Maybe the periode of the other ribbons tell you what other country you should look for. Although I am dutch, I have no idea whatsoever as to what the other ribbon stand for, but I am sure you know regards David
    16. I know it seemed familiar, check this one and tell me what you think: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_St_M...l_and_St_George
    17. Thanks for checking and explaining. As far as Georg is concerned, of whom I hav no picture at all, I will have to rely on the single rolls of Rick and Daniel as they are being published. David
    18. Would someone like this be in it, the book covers the different regierungs?mter right?: Major Georg Emil Theodor M?ldner von M?lnheim 15.5.1918 dem Kriegsministerium ?berwiesen, 17.5.1918 Milit?rkommission Kiew, 9.11.1918 Bevollm?chtigter des Kriegsministeriums f?r die Ukraine, Gesandter zu Kiew, 1.3.1919 demobilisiert, 24.7.1919 Versorgungsabteilung des Kriegsministerium, 9.4.1920 Abschied mit Pension und mit der Range als Oberstleutnant. regards David
    19. Hi Rick and Johan many thanks for both your input @ Rick would you happen to have an the MMC for NCO you mentioned scanned as well? Regards David
    20. Please see the first post, I made some additions due to new data I got today
    21. Hi Paul Highest rank would be Leutnant der Reserve with or wihout the Matrosenartillerie addition. His entry at volksbund.de suggest this also: http://www.volksbund.de/graebersuche/conte...D0A6EC9DAD8BB6F Hope you can help me David
    22. Hi Gents I am looking for some more info on the WWII career of my greatgrandfathers cousin Wilhelm Albert Karl August M?ldner, geboren Berlin 07.11.1887, Inhaber des Eisernen Kreuzes II. und I. Klasse (K?nigreich Preussen), Seefliegerabzeichen (K?nigreich Preussen) (24.09.1915), 1917 Leutnant der Reserve der Matrosenartillerie, gestorben Berlin Luftwaffelazarett Halle-D?lau 04.11.1942. Dienstzeit bei der Luftwaffe 30.09.1935-28.10.1935 Fliegerhorstkommandantur Perleberg (?bung), Anfangsdatum nicht vermerkt-04.11.1942 1. Flieger-Waffentechnische Schule I, Halle an der Saale. Got his Wehrpass data today, a remark: 22.06.1942-22.09.1942 1. Flieger-Waffentechnische Schule I, Halle an der Saale, seit 23.09.1942 Flieger Ersatz Bataillon IV. Although the other questions remain, I would like to add: Were was his last unit? Who commanded it? The Wehrpass shows a Hauptmann with a K and a Oberstlieutenant with a B or L. Would there be any kind of documentation on this school and would in this documentation be mentioning of Wilhelm M?ldner? Would his rank still be Lt d R der Matrosenartillerie, or would he just be Lt dR? Hope to get some info here. Normally I am focussing on WWI, as there were some other familymembers in that war. Regards and thanks David
    23. Hi Gents I am looking for a picture of a uniformed Leutnant der Reserve der Matrosenartillerie. I know it is a bit specific but have not been able to find something similar on the internet yet. My greatgrandfathers cousin was a pilot athe SFA in Varna during WWI. His full career (from the WAST) Wilhelm Albert Karl August M?ldner, geboren Berlin 07.11.1887, gestorben Luftwaffelazarett Halle-D?lau 04.11.1942. 24.09.1915 Seefliegerabzeichen, 25.05.1916 Bulgarian Tapferkeitskreuz IV. Klasse, 23.03.1918 Bulgarian Seeflieger Abzeichen (a picture of this one?) 23.03.1918 Osmanischer Halbmond (which I guess is the read star like equivalent of the EKI, right?) 22.08.1914 Diensteintritt im Freiwillige Marine Flieger Korps (Berlin-Johannisthal), II Seeflieger-Abteilung (SFA): 31.07.1915 Obermatrose, dann Bootmannsmaat, 11.1915 Flugmaat, 06.11.1915-03.12.1915 Seeflieger-Station (SFS) Borkum, wo er mit dem Friedrichshafen FF 29a (Seeaufkl?rer) Nummer 419 flog, 23.01.1916-12.10.1916 und 01.05.1917-16.06.1917 I. SFA: SFS Varna (Bulgarien), hier war er Flugzeugf?hrer der Friedrichshafen FF 33e (Seeaufkl?rer), Nummer 507, 529, 530, 723, 738, 780, 835, 861 und 862, 04.07.1916 Vizeflugmeister, 24.05.1917H Leutnant der Reserve der Matrosenartillerie, 15.09.1917-03.1918 II. Adjutant der Stab der I. SFA (Kiel-Holtenau), 30.04.1918 zur Dienstleistung bei der Kommandeur der Flieger des Marine Korps Flandern (KoFl) commandirt (Zeebr?gge, Belgien), 06.05.1918 unter Enthebung von dem Commando zur Dienstleistung bei der KoFl, zur Verf?gung der Marine Flugchef (Berlin) vom 25.08.1918-25.09.1918 Reservelazarett Bad Nauheim (Erkrankung), dann bis Kriegsende zur Verf?gung der Marine Flugchef (Berlin), 21.01.1920 ausser Dienst. Dienstzeit bei der Luftwaffe 30.09.1935-28.10.1935 Fliegerhorstkommandantur Perleberg (?bung), Anfangsdatum nicht vermerkt-04.11.1942 1. Flieger-Waffentechnische Schule I, Halle an der Saale. So most specifically I am actually looking for just a picture of any of the uniforms Wilhelm would have worn at some point in his career (will also post this on the IIIrd Reich forum for his final years) From his Wehrpass, which I received today, I added some data. I hope you will be so kind to help me out in finding pictures of the ODM's I dont know what they look like. Thanks again David
