    1. Hi llja, sorry to say wit these better pictures i have concerns about this cross due to the very poor definition of the inner corners and the circle mark you show on the bottom of the three o1clock arm on both types. I can find no reference to this marking in my reference material so with these factors i am dubiouse about the cross in question. cheers
    2. mmmm really difficult, are there no RZM markings on the metal work? just asking as i have a small metal buckle from a H/J cap RZM marked and numbered and i would of thought these would of had a cloth tag? or markings on the metal work?? just my thoughts though cheers Ashley
    3. Hi Farkas, for me all the insignia are fake 😞 especially the cap insignia, as for the collars very few actually issued (if ever on a large scale ?) so sorry to me they are fakes.
    4. If i am right the round inner corners and the `crows feet ` corners along with the die flaw in the upper right corner of the beading make this maker easily identifying ...... once you know ????? Finding out is apparently the most fun i colleting these crosses. good luck
    5. Hi, this doesn't look like a S Jablonski to me as they use a S&L core and has a very distinctive numeral `3` and according to IC2 by Meartz and Alt it doesn`t mention an unmarked version ? The most distinctive part of the is cross is the rounded inner corners and the very distinctive raised bead on the corners, so a bit of research info for you ........... cheers Ashley
    6. superb crosses not seen very often, thanks for showing πŸ‘
    7. Hi Cambo, a superb set πŸ‘, you may get more replies if it was posted in the right forum section πŸ™‚
    8. Hi, I know that this post has been up for some time but life has been busy. This cross is a real strange one, the obverse looks O.K. but the date on the reverse is quite strange and is not like any other i have seen. The seam on the edge looks as though it has been split then re-soldered ? a real anomaly not one i would be happy with. Sorry cheers Ashley
    9. I would of thought just pure coincidence re the dates, may be write to the Red Cross Society to see if they hold records or have a website ??
    10. As i understand it this glider badge is a civil award ? a pre war French association (FIA) but internationally recognised so he may of been awarded before his commission into the navy ??
    11. I am afraid Iron Cross collecting is not so simple πŸ˜› as Orth along with others did use parts/stamps from other makers, though the cross looks fine from pictures provided. It is a nice cased example but a fairly common cross to enjoy πŸ‘πŸ‘
    12. Looks like a `15` stamp for Friedrich Orth so some more research required :-) Don`t think Julius Maurer made the 1st class ??
    13. Looks like a later production of the EK2 1914\18 ?
    14. Phew, a lot going on there ! not sure when it all began ? will be keeping a close eye on the progression of thread.
