Hello I'm no expert, but I think it's for a sports shirt. Snoopy -
Hi Dan Wow, that's impressive. It really doesn't need any paint to look great. The vignette is really packed with detail. I could study it for hours, and I'm not kidding. Do you have any other projects planned? Regards Snoopy

Hi Dan Glad you like it. This aircraft belonged to the 80th FG. The 80th FG consisted of the 88th, 89th and the 90th FS. They operated in India and Burma in 1943-44. Lt Freeling 'Dixie' Clover came up with the scull design, which gave rise to their nicname, the "Burma Banshees". This design was used on all the P-40's in the 80th FG. Snoopy

Thanks for the kind words. Actually, I have never counted the hours that I spend on a model, but I guess that it's way to many. Snoopy

Luftwaffe LW Equipment ?
Snoopy replied to Jan Arne S's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Uniforms, Headwear, Insignia & Equipment
Hello Jan Arne Those signal flares, are a really nice find. Snoopy -
I have seen the video clip several times today. When the crewman exit's the boat, something that looks very much like your lamp, can be seen hanging from a lanyard. You mentioned Bundesmarine. If the Bundesmarine was reactivated at the same time as the Bundesluftwaffe and Heer, I believe that would make it, late fifties. Please, correct me if I am wrong. I think that your lamp looks older than that. I must add, that I am no expert, so it's only my personal thaugts, but if it was from the fifties, wouldn't it have some sort of Nato style number, and maybe a synthetic lanyard? I think that you have a very interesting lamp, and as you say, it might be late war Luftwaffe, or it might be a lamp specially designed for the K-men. I have seen a few of the more "ordinary" Luftwaffe beacon lamps, and I seem to remember, that these lamps allso lacks the Luftwaffe Fl. number. I really hope that you can get it confirmed as a K-man's beacon lamp. That would make it a real rarity, I think. Snoopy

Hi Bob Hmmm. I should probably have recogniced it. Snoopy -
Hello I made an attempt at a close up, from a picture that I have in my collection. It's not the best picture in the world, but it shows the arm of a soldier, with a signals trade badge. I am not shure if the NCO on the right, is a member of a signals unit. Difficult to say, from a black and white photo. Snoopy

Hello again If anybody has anything, related to the "Augsburg eagles", or other Messerschmidt's, please share them with us. In my collection I have this original manual, for the "Fug 16 ZY". I hope you like it. This radio was used in the Bf 109. Snoopy
