    1. Awesome early fliegerbluse! If you display it with the RK, I would suggest either a pilot or FJ badge, as I think pilots or paratroopers would be more likely to have won the RK (as opposed to an observer or AG/RO). --Kevin
    2. Yes, this is why I mentioned that it has the later mic set-up. I suppose it could have been a transition issue, or the original mics were damaged and they replaced with what they had, or the owner might have requested the modification, or... well, who really knows? Not a "perfect" piece, but a nice one, and it cost me merely an arm -- I got to keep both legs. --Kevin
    3. The cup structure is made of aluminum. The outside is covered with what appears to be bakelite. I've always called these "bakelite" earcups because of this appearance.
    4. I recently sold my Ln marked flare gun, but kept the Fl marked one. It is made by Gustav Bittner Werke, GBW, who produced only 5500 flare guns during the war. What I really like about this one is the brass fittings. --Kevin
    5. Very interesting photos, Bryan. My favorite is the rather "uninteresting" one with the LW clasp and pendant. --Kevin
    6. I finally got one of these scarce early flight helmets. It's not perfect, as it has the later microphone attachment and short cord. But it's original, clean inside and out, it's a large size 60, and both tags are present. For some reason, one or both of the tags are often missing in these helmets. --Kevin
    7. That's really in very fine shape, congratulations! The gun was made by Emil Eckholdt, who produced 22,800 with the marking 'ECKO', and 4500 with the marking 'ojr' --Kevin
    8. Excellent! I always thought the brass fittings looked classy. Nice period photos, too. Do you have the originals?
    9. Early pair by Hoffmann with zippers on the inner and outer sides. They appear unused. The boots are all black, but for some reason the camera picks up a little purplish hue. Regards, Kevin
