It once was mine.......we had a discussion her in the forum some time.......................seems to be rebuild even if it looks good on the reverse and on the front - but crazy combination.........

yes I have seen it...................... now that the bar has gone the picture appears on the scene................ too bad!!!

not a fireman at all........... I had one large wooden medal bar from Southwest in the stolen part of my collection, unfortunately no pic.... and I have seen two more....no joke!!!

I think they belong all together because I bought all bars at the same time from the same seller..... 4 ribbon bars with the Messina medal from TWO persons...................................of course possible but a bit unbelievable, or?

Hi guys..... ask yourself why this is a very sensitive thing to talk about.... maybe not everybody builds medal bars like this because of "display reasons"...... Herr Freitag himself sells very "questionable" medal bars on a internet auction house and even more (not) questionable battle clasps on the same auction house and on ebay - makes no good feeling to me if a "creator" sells things for other people new creations..... I would never create or rebuild a bar like this, original old or nothing - BUT THIS IS ONLY MY PERSONAL OPINION!!! Of course you can buy the ribbons from him or actual on german ebay, there are a lot of ribbons offered, search through the 1870-1914 section in the militaria section... greetings Heiko

Hello all, here is my mysterious ribbon bar for today...... can someone please name the last 3 ribbons for me??? Second from last is red/yellow-gold, last one is white-red and third from last is white with red stripes and oakleaves.... the ribbons are overlapping and it is a bar witout needle system for sewing on.... any help is welcome... thanks in advance Heiko

this came just with the mail..... after some info from PaulC this is the medal bar of Major Alfons Ritter von Bram (InfanterieRegiment 20 , born 1865 died 1951) - thank you very much gentlemen!!!! Can someone with the bavarian sources give me now the correct classe of the peacetime MVO, Mecklenburg griffin and REO...? Any more info on this man? Anyone a picture? thanks in advance Heiko

Hi Jacky, no remounting here.... it is an old bar with old ribbons, but as you can see was the ribbon bar his preferred bar for wearing...

Ach Solomon.................. we all have our groups I am still a bit jealus about the Lippe group, but it is in good hands, that`s were groups belong to....

I love these complete groups with medal bar, ribbon bar and miniature chain would be even better with the documents to give the group a name but unfortunately there are no docs for this group.... but very nice to look at!!!
