    1. Here is my collection of Finnish Minis , I think these are like small pieces of art So much detail and beautiful workmanship . Enjoy ! First is a four with Order of White Rose , medal for bravery 1918 1st class , Prussian Red Cross , Hinderburg Cross. Next a Duo with Order of The Lion and Pro Begnigata Humana ( the last from 1945 given to civilians mostly who helped during the war) Now a four again, with Swedisg Order of North Star in 18K Gold, Order of the White Rose Knight 1st class also in 18K Gold, Liberty Cross 4th class w Red Cross 1941 and PBH (Only 861 LC w Red Cross 1941 was awarded so its quite unusual) Then a single Libert Cross 4th class ( not marked but probably 1941 version) A really scarce one ! A Liberty Cross 3rd Cl w Red Cross 1941 or 1939 ( 48 awarded 1939 and 338 1941 ) And next a single 4th cl w Red Cross A single medal for bravery 1941 1st cl w Red Cross for medics This is almost the Holy Grail of Finnish minis , a 2nd class 1941 for non combat ( only 53 awarded so you dont see these to often ...) And the last one , Liberty Cross for non combat 1918 4th cl, Order of White Rose , EK II , Com medal for 1918 war , HEK ( probably a member of 27th Jaeger Btl 1918) Christer
    2. The Finnish Commemorative Medal for the Liberation war was awarded from late January 1919 so most peoplehad got them in 1930s but as said earlier I now they where awarded at least until 1937. About Finnish Liberty Cross II Class 1941 to Germans : I don´t have tthe awarded numbers to Germans , there where 1160 awarded in total and I have the names of 28 Germans with 2nd class. Christer
    3. After a short thinking I realize that Peters Ribbon bar probably show a 1941 2nd class Liberty Cross instead of a 1918. Then the combination of awards make more sense. I have to how many 41 awards there where to Germans - I'll be back ! christer
    4. Wow again, the newest and probably most true award numbers on Liberty Crosse 2nd Class is 271 awarded And 102 to Germans so your bar is one of 102 1 to a Bavarian , and 2 to Saxon officers so that leave us with 99 possible Looks that he has Army Long Service medals which means that the 60 Navy officers could be ruled out so we are down to 39 possible. The Oldenburg Cross could pont to Oldenburg Dragon Rgt 19 who was in Finland 1918. Here is some names of Germans with Liberty Cross 2nd 1918 Graf von Bernstoff - Had Austrian Merit Cross Georg Carp ? Hans Karl von Esebeck ? Nikolaus von Falkenhorst William Halling - Had other Awards Adolf Hauger Ludwig Heckmann dr Theodor Heynemann - Bavarian , had other wards Ernest Moritz von Kaisenberg - Had other awards Benedict Kreutz Arthur Lehmann Christian Mathes Ludwig Müller - Had other Awards Martin Otto Otto Scheferling Hans Schenk zu Schweinsberg Hans Siebold Otto Theim If we can find what awards these officers above had maybe we can shorten the list even more . Christer
    5. Hi Rebbecka , Sad to hear that the old gentleman passed away but at least he had a long life. This was an amazing story , beginning with a simple photo taken by a Swedish witness in 1940 and now almost after 80 years the story lives on .... By the way I will travel to Canada in April for a work meeting ( Ottawa ) never been there so hopefully the weather will be OK so I can see something of the city. and as they say " Old Pilots never die , they just fly away " I enclose the original photo which started the thread in a better scan and also the backside which I never shown before. The translation of the Swedish text is " 22 Sept 1940 Sunday 09.30 these Englishman flew over Holme and had to make an emergency landing at the old bridge, they had been to Norway and bombed at night " " one of them is 21 year and the other 20 " Christer
    6. Hi Erik, The one bottom right is a Badge for Excellent in Military and Political Training , nor rare but still nice The one in the middle of the pic is The Border Guard Ann from 1966 Top Left is Border Guard Excellent badge ( that one I think is quite rare) Bottom Left is Border Guard " For Honorable Deed Badge , ( also quite rare) Top Right is Border Guard Anniv Badge 1971 ( similar in rarity to the other Guard Badges<9 In all a good lot ! If anyone has any updates on value please comment Christer
    7. Hi Jean-Sam. I think you have right in that both flying personal and Anti-aircraft was given the ILMAPOULUSTUS bar and also that they could have it with swords.. When it comes to Navy i´m not sute but i guess that the same goes for Navy/Coastal Defence and both could get the Rannikkopulolustus bar. Anyone have a Navy medal with paper to show ? Christer
    8. Here is my newest addition to my collection, a simple looking medal but very seldom seen It is the medal for Peasants March against communism July 7th 1930 , it was the extreme right wing Lappo Movement who organized a march to Helsinki with 12 000 people. How many medals that where struck is unknown to me,but since the Lappo was banned in 1932 I suppose not many of these medals was saved. Christer

    20. Hi all , Just when I thought I didn´t going to buy anthing more for a while ..... If I´m right this is something more or less between WW1 and Third Reich ? Sachsen Coburg und Gotha Goldene Verdienstmedaliie 1933-35 , bur with the bar from a 1914/18 medal so maybe it fits here amongst Imperial Does anyone know how many of these the "brown" Duke awarded ? What I can see the 1914/18 bar looks genuine , so maybe he had a WW1 medal and replaced it with this in 1933 ? Christer
    21. Now they have arrived ! Really wonderful small pieces of art I found the man who got them , Jägmeister Carl Reinhold Hullström , he got the RVO 1914 , PrKrO < 1903 and the Wald FO IV 1903-1918 Christer

I suppose no one have awards list for Waldeck Pyrmont ?? What I could find was that there wasn´t many Waldeck MO awarded to Swedish I found seven so far and almost all is of higher classes.
