    1. And so you should, the Assmann is a really sweet example. I really agonised about buying it but I already had a heavy week. Rich
    2. John, As requested. This now completes my Juncker RO/AG series and I have all 3 patterns now. (I don't go for the zinc badges). Standard case, etc. Rich
    3. Nice catch, Dave! I hope this doesn't mean even more competition!! Rich
    4. I like these awards too and pick them up when I see an interesting one. (Only have two mind so I haven't been very successsful ) I have a BB&Co with full silver finish and no enamel damage and also this rather nice '800' example. Rich
    5. John That's a great badge and really love the case. In fact had I not seen the for sale ad too late I would have happily added that one to my own collection. To console myself I'm adding a cased tombac '3rd' pattern Juncker RO/AG instead. Rich
    6. Stan Not often you see 2 with the same date! Yours looks to be in superb condition too. I do not believe the same award date means they were in the same geschwader but I will look through my KG55 references to see if I can find the name. Regards Rich
    7. I also understand that these have come directly from the veterans that captured them in May 1945. With any unproven story, it must only be taken at face value. Rich
    8. Dave That's a nice one and I like the way it has extra hand finishing around the wing-tips and tail feathers. I hope you're not considering collecting cased luft awards . I don't think I could cope with the extra competition...It's hard enough as it is! Rich
    9. Gents Some stunning and creative photos being presented here. I hope more will be added!! Rich
    10. I used to build a lot of armour kits when I was a teenager and was getting fairly good at it until university came along and all the other trappings that it brings. From then onwards I didn't build anymore models. Then about 6 years ago, a friend who I shared the hobby with bought me a tamiya Stud III Ausf. G kit with brass etched parts. I then bought the turned aluminium barrel with separate muzzel brake and thought I'd have a go. It's still in the box, partially built but I'm thinking of tackling it again. Now, down to the real reason for this thread... I have a Royal Sovereign Super 73A airbrush which I bought a few years ago but I can not longer find the instructions for it and I'm having difficulty getting good flow at wider settings. Does anyone have one of these or know of anywhere were they are featured on the web to show how to get the best out of it? Rich
    11. John An exceptionally rare badge and a super find for your Assmann series. I know of only one other example. I once saw the corresponding pilot badge at one of the large US shows. It was really cheap in comparison to a regular pilot badge and I didn't buy because I hadn't seen another like it. How I regret that moment of not trusting my gut instinct. Rich
    12. Thanks for all the info and replies. I had thought there was a Deumer connection but just wasn't 100%. Thanks! Rich
    13. Oh, yes! I have that one! Is that a grouping or put together for the photo? Rich
    14. My two clam-shells together. On the right is a one-piece. Note the clam-shells are slightly different in design.
    15. I just got this nice EK1 screw-back from my favourite hunting grounds :- Ebay. Frame has beautiful patina and seems to have a high silver-content. It's a 3-piece and the core is non-magentic (looks like could be brass). Is this a Deumer from between the wars?
