    1. Insignia closeup. I like the look of the Heer M44 straps. I think that there was more than a possiblity that they were used on this uniform
    2. Now, since it is known that the insignia were not original to this tunic, I decided to have a little fun. Here is a medical set up!
    3. Insignia close up... this is the very tunic that was used in Angolia's Reference book. The only bummer is that someone along the way swapped out the shoulder straps.
    4. At my wife's beconning, I have significantly thinned out a lot of my collection. I lost money big time, but I was able to do a straight trade to get this M43. I feel that it is the real deal, as it has a few oddities that are in common with the known originals.
    5. Thank you for sharing this set with us! The tags do add an errie twist! Is the tunic or cap named? Any awards loops? Is the cap original to the tunic? This is much rarer than an SS tunic!!
    6. Thanks for sharing this photo, Henry!! Can you please do a closeup scan of the Oakleaf?
    7. You definetly have my interest!! Beautiful Examples. I love the summer weight example!
    8. Thank you for sharing those beautiful shoulder boards! They do not get much better than that!
    9. My assessment is that this is a crudely made cast copy, made to sell to us GIs!
    10. Thanks Norman! Your explanation was perfect! I look forward to seeing some images of the flash in wear, if one becomes available! Paul
    11. These are very interesting! How many of these are there? Do you have any photos to show how they are worn on the uniforms?
    12. Just a comment on the bar alone... I have never seen four long service medals mounted at the same time. I hope that you are able to reunite the chain with the bar!
    13. Hey Larry, The first set do belong to the LW Sonderfuhrer as well. The medium grade level did use the shoulder cords with the silver running through it. Please see the tunic I have posted in the first page of this thread. The shoulder straps you have up are for a LW Sonderfuhrer of the lower grade level.
    14. That is one nice looking badge! I have always wondered what these nations wore for Guards Badges!
