    1. Wonderful and RARE tabs, Gary. I too appreciate all of your referrals as well!
    2. I found it... On page 142 of "Uniforms and Traditions of the Luftwaffe, Volume 2" by Angolia and Schlicht, Personnel of the Chief of Supply and Procurement (Generalluftzeugmeister- GL) was comprised of Civil Technicians that were assigned as controllers of armament factories in the Reich and occupied territories. Very little is known about this organization, but most period photos show these men wearing fliegerbluses. They would wear, either on collar tabs or punched through the collar, the letters "G" and "L". Often the "G" would be on the wearer's right collar and the "L" would be on the wearer's left collar. Although, there are photos that shows both letters being worn on both collars. Their national emblem consisted of a cogwheel with the luftwaffe eagle superimposed. This breast insignia was a pin back, like the metal eagle worn on the standard LW summer white uniform. If you want to "see" what I am talking about, please shoot me a PM. What are the heights of the cyphers?
    3. This actually looks like something from the Luftwaffe side of the house. The Luftwaffe had a special department of civilian supply/logistics personnel who wore a uniform with collar tabs. One tab would have the "G" and the lapel would have a tab with the letter "L". I will look through my references. Regards Paul
    4. Snoopy, Thank you for sharing your boards!! They are great! The Veterinary Dept is medical related, so they are ok here! Here is an oddity... Veterinary tabs with an Orange-Red waffenfarbe instead of the traditional Carmine Pink According to "Uniforms and Traditions of the German Army" Volume 1, by Angolia On page 360, it is stated that Supplimental (whatever that means) Medical and Veterinary Officers were assigned an Orange/Red waffenfarbe IAW HM 36, No 239 dated 01Apr1936. This color different than the bright red used by Arty. This is the only set I have ever seen. I would love to find a medical set like this(same waffenfarbe). I am afraid that any that were around might have been tossed out, by collectors thinking that they were messed with insignia.
    5. Here is another! This is a set of Heer M44 style EM shoulder straps.
    6. The Mongolians have a very nice looking uniform!
    7. Thanks Hardy!!! That is a great photo. Unfortunately, is is not medical. This is an Administrative trade badge. Here is an example from a collani trade badge. They also had the staff and serpent trade patch, similar to that used by the Heer and Luftwaffe.
    8. Here is my favorite medal. It was one of my first big purchases about 14 years ago. Come to find out, the book makes it very special as it was awarded in Turkmen SSR. Note the non-Cyrillic words in the stamp(that goes over the photo).
    9. Has anyone ever heard of one residing in a collection? I do know about Chris Boonzaier's, but are there any others? Has anyone ever seen an Enlisted tunic? I know that I would love to find a medical collani!
    10. Looks like some sort of Army Corps of Engineers Medal. I remember, being from Southeast Texas myself, that Balfour is the company that made our class rings. I think that they also make plaques and medals as well. I have never seen anything like it. I bet that it is VERY rare! paul
    11. Awesome!!! What is that fourth weapon from the top on the rifle rack?
    12. Great Stuff Erik!!! Thank you very much for the great scans. The pamphlet is a keeper!
    13. As per my books, the stated is correct, Gary. I too would like to see these two side by side. I have the darker of the two hues. Judging by the photos, Gary seems to have the light waffenfarbe. Mike, I think that the discoloration is due to the fact that the image is a scan of a photo. I would love to have that tunic in hand!
    14. The 1870 bars(and earlier) are my favorite. I am a bit jealous of the EK2 bar! Thanks for sharing your wonderful collection!
