    2. I am not experienced at all with helmets, but if everything is 100% period I would have to say that it is the best one I have ever seen. Regards Paul
    3. What I like is the fact that it is one of the few that I have seen with FreiKorps Service yet no Hindenburg Cross.

    6. Good Morning, I have the below pictured CCC in silver that I bought from the Estand a few years ago. It has a little zinc pest as seen on the obverse. It is also evident that the paint applied was done after it left the factory. The only reason I have not removed it is that I thought that there was a possiblity that this was upgraded by the vet or some type of techinque I know nothing about. Please bear in mind that I know little about badges. I need the following help... 1. Confirmation that it is an original badge(I still feel that it is). 2. What is the deal with the paint? 3. What is a fair selling price? I bought it for 295 dollars back in 2003. Any help would be greatly appeciated. Kind regards PaulR
    7. Yeah, Me too. I have not received a reply to the Email I sent to the Military Channel. I really need to check out that video.
    8. Keep in mind that I am just an amatuer, but I like the top bar. It appears to me that all of the ribbons have aged together. I dont like the lower one. The Austrian ribbons seem a bit dirter than the Westwall and they are out of order, big time. Lets here what the ribbonbar Meisters have to say!
    9. Thank you, Rick and Glen, for all of the work you put into research. Without people like you, much would be lost forever.
    10. GREAT NEWS... Thanks to the eagle eyes of Garth Thompson, I received this PM today... "Paul, I might have a possible ID for your gray EM tabs. I was watching a color film on the Polesti, Romania raid by the USAAC last night. They included some color footage of the Flack crews around the refinery and stated the guns were manned by Romanian troops. Pictured were troops in LW uniforms but they had GRAY collar tabs. There were two clear shots of the gun crews in both the crew had tabs that were not Flack red but appeared to be a gray color. Unlike the Army volunteers almost no reference has been done on foreign volunteers in the LW and their insignia.... Just a thought, Garth" I will contact the channel to ask for a DVD of the program. Thanks
    11. I know nothing about Fj helmets. I have no doubts on what you all are writing, but what gives this particular helmet away as a repro. The thing I notice right off the bat is the new red rust. Are there other indicators? V/r, Paul
    12. This is an interesting thread. I have never seen this type of post card before. I look forward to seeing what Mr Noss has to say.
    13. Don, That is an amazing bar!! What is the white substance on the EK and War Service Cross? Regards Paul
