    1. Hi Dan, With or without the "swaz bridge", both are just fine. The ones with the bridge just weren't hand finished THAT closely, that's all. You are correct, mine does not have the bridge and indeed has the typical backwards question mark catch. ERIC
    2. Again "nice badge" Dan - repair appears period to me. I like it! ERIC
    3. Very, very nice addition Jan - my compliments!! I just managed to pick up one of these myself. I will post it when she arrives! ERIC
    4. Yes indeed John, a good call. Seems as though the fakers are pulling out all the stops as of late. ERIC
    5. An excellent addition John - congratulations my friend! You don't see these too often! ERIC
    6. Thanks for that John. Mine weighs in at 28.2 grams, so that looks to be the norm I suupose. GREAT early Deumer P/O - another one to try to hunt down! ERIC
    7. ..........1st Pattern that is!! My first one, and boy have I been waiting a long time for one of these!! For those of you lucky enough to posess one of these beauties already, could you kindly post the weights of your examples. Thanks in advance! ERIC [attachmentid=15436]
    8. Hi Kurt, Nice 1st pattern Juncker! Not aluminum, but more than likely tombak. The aluminums weigh in lighter than that (8 - 16 grams dependent on repairs) and are noticebly different in the hinge / catch department. Very nice pickup! Best, ERIC
    9. Hello Nan Su, It looks like the others that were deemed acceptable to me as well. As Jan stated, 'very interesting' - I wouldn't call it an outright fake - in a way, I like it alot. ERIC
    10. Hi JTW, That's a fantastic early Deumer you've managed to find there - my congratulations! I've only seen two or three with the silver nickle wreath!! Can you supply a weight please?! ERIC
    11. Hi Guys, Here is an unmarked Luft Ground Combat Badge that I recently acquired and I am seeking opinions as to who the manufacturer might be. I bought it on the assumption that it is of Juncker origin, but I would like to have some other collectors' thoughts to solidify my belief. I know that the Juncker GCB is a tough nut to come by, so additional thoughts on this one would be quite appreciated. This is the first I've come across that has the alternate style catch/baseplate for zinc Junckers' rather than the long oval style catch/baseplate that one is accustomed to seeing on the late Junckers - everything else looks quite "normal". The eagle is definately buntmetall and is attached by a small rivit. She weighs in at 26.3 grams. ERIC [attachmentid=13501] [attachmentid=13502]
    12. Thanks Rick! Sure thing, here's the reverses of the badges. These aluminum badges are so delicate and light it's amazing that they have stood the test of time. ERIC [attachmentid=12920]
    13. Thanks you guys! Hey Jan, perhaps you can help me out with my missing Para problem!? C'mon, I know YOU must have an extra one!! ERIC
    14. Superb Para pics fellas!! It's really super to see those Fallschirmj?ger decorated so handsomely! ERIC
    15. Hi Guys, Just like to show off my newest additions - all 1st pattern in Aluminum by Assmann. All repaired to some extent, but the "been there" look about them makes them "speak" to you. Hope you like them as well!! ERIC [attachmentid=12752]
    16. Hi John, Isn't JFS a known and accepted maker as well?? I know I read somewhere that Paras, as obscure as they are, existed by this maker as well and are accepted as originals. ERIC
    17. I myself don't recall EVER seeing a Glider Badge by Deumer either. I am in agreeance here with the others regarding the mm here - Deumer had basically the same mm throughout the war - no discernable difference from beginning to end. The mm on your Glider just doesn't match up to a period Deumer mark. ERIC
    18. Hi Kurt, I've never seen one like it before, with that setup / rivit combination. I must admit that the front of the badge does look to be a spot on Osang. I do like the mm also - it's hard to imitate that fudged up "G" and the end of "OSANG". The catch looks Osang as well as JTW had mentioned. I can't comment on the rivits - again, I never saw this style of rivit on an Osang before. Overall I would say it is OK - I just wish we could see a second or third example that has your badges' stylization. That would be icing on the cake! Definately a conversation piece! ERIC
