    4. This KM sidecap emblem is new in my collect!!! I think that it's a sidecap emblem for a Minesweeper or a Sperrbrecher. Do you have more information on this emblem? Do you know the name or the number of the KM ship wich used this emblem? Emblem size: 34mm x 25mm Regards Ben
    5. Hi Gordon Thanks a lot for your information and your help. I will pass on this one. Regards Ben
    6. Hi Gordon Thanks for information If you look inside the blue lining, can you tell what material is used for stiffening the headband of the cap. Normally it should be a stiff woven material like this example, either black or white, or sometimes opaque cellulose. It's a stiff woven material but the color is a kind of red brown one. The chinstrap isn't the regular one, at first on the photos it looks plastic but on the last photo where the edge of the strap can be seen you can tell it is indeed leather with a patent laquered finish, so seems possibly OK for the period. The chinstrap is a leather one. What I really don't like is the peak. If you look at the many original KM caps in this forum you will see that the narrow gold wire trim between the leather edging to the peak and the gilt scalloped portion is a very thin single twisted strand of wire. Also there should be little or no gap between the embroidery and the leather edgeing. This one has a wide gap. I don't have your book "Torpedo Loss" in my hands but i remember to see a visor cap, from the Michel collection, with the same kind of peak with a wide gap. Regards Ben
    7. Hi Can you give me your opinion about this KM Officer Visor cap? The chinstrap seems to be a non regular one!!! It's a non removable cover one. Regards Ben from Lorient
    8. Hi I have this M35 KM helmet in my collect. This one comes from Brest in Brittany. I don't know why but It's seem to be a M35 SS reissued to KM. We can see under the KM gold eagle transfer, the state shield transfer. On the other side, you can see pieces of silver from the SS runic shield. the KM gold eagle transfer, under the state shield transfer. We can see pieces of silver from the SS runic shield. 9. Hi I saw same kind of shirts sold for 112 euros on ebay two months ago. I don't know if it's really KM WW2 shirts? Regards Ben from Lorient
    10. To share with all of you. I send you pics from my last find from an antique market in Lorient. This is a very nice wooden sign from the 6 U-Flottille!!! It was found during a villa renovation in La baule few months ago. IMO, this kind of sign was used by submariners to indicate that a villa was requisitioned by 6 U-Flottile members. Regards Ben
    11. Hi Gordon Thanks a lot for information. I agree with you there are a lot of red flags for this cap. Regards Ben from Lorient
