      Hi , this not a NCO cap but rather an Officers cap. You can see the "Keksrand" that has been made out of brass. My father had a similar one and the brass was painted with luminescent paint so he could be recognized at night. I still have it in my posession regards Fregatte

      Yes this is correct. The white cotton top is and has always been removable to allow laundring. no more blue caps since ca. 1968- regards juergen

      The Bundesmarine used to change from white to blue in October and went back to white in April. This ceased in 1968.. if I remeber correctly. I should know better but had to lok up old fotos in my uniform to find out. regards fregatte.

      Hi again, to further clear the matter. The mug is from the kitchen hall of the SS Guard barracks of the Obersalzberg. these mugs were in use as standard issue for the SS personnel and not in the possession of one SS Man. regards Juergen

      Hi John1919, this is exactly what I had in mind. You got it right. I had no idea that there was a Bohemian porcellain manufacturer for the SS. So, it was not merely Allach but other manufacturers as well- Thank you very much indeed. Juergen

These mugs were in use as standard mugs in the SS Guard Barracks. there were many of them but just the one I have survived.They were not picked up by an SSman in town, as one Gentleman stated- regards J?rgen PS I am puzzled by the word Bohemia, whereas in German it would be Boehmen. I doubt if the SS used the english word for B?hmen.

      My grandmothers brother in law, Major a D Willy Schneider left this music programme for the Paradedinner in August 1913. I also show his medals and a foto of him. But I have no information about his career or promotions.He was an Oberleutnant in 1910 and also an Instructor at the Kadettenanstalt in Bensberg. Could someone enlighten me? regards Juergen

      here is a genuine mug that my great uncle got in April 1945 after Obersalzberg had been totally bombed and the population could take the leftovers with them. It was from the SS Barracks guard personnel. Has there been a similar mug.?
