    1. Hi all got this in the other day and am quite pleased with it, as an added bonus the seller included a letter from a veteran who was Kampfgruppe 1 Leader in this Geschwader, he flew Heinkel 111's during the Battle of Britain and till the end of the war, he also received the 400 mission pendant on his Gold Bomber Clasp as well as the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. The vet was kind enough to include an autographed copy of a wartime photo of himself. Please enjoy! All the best, Jonathan
    2. I got this recently and was curious if someone could tell me Zinc or Buntmetal? TIA and all the best, Jonathan
    3. Excellent pieces! I too just recently picked up a Deumer RO/AG, but not in nearly as good a shape as yours here. All the best, Jonathan
    4. Great looking items!! When I need a Glider badge I know who to come to now . All the best, Jonathan
    5. What a beautiful piece!! Truly a great acquisition!! All the best, Jonathan
    6. Sorry Rick I should have said you need to click on the thumbnails to view . Thanks Eric, I had a sinking suspicion, I am with you and Paul I truly hope this gent wasnt conned by someone else, the gesture was nice and it will stay with me because of that gesture but getting a real Pilots Badge will have to be on my list. All the best, Jonathan
    7. This Pilots badge was given to me by a German vet I have been talking to here at a local nursing home last year around Christmas. I have tried very much in vain to research this maker mark and the over all look of this badge with the lack of pictorial evidence as my search wears on(some claim they are fake, some claim they have had ones that were real etc but NO pictures of theirs are around) is starting to make me wonder. He swears it was the badge issued to him. I dont want to offend him and Im not looking to get rid of it as it means alot that he gave it to me but if its NOT real I would, like to have a real one in my collection at some point. I hate to think hes lying so Im really hoping if its NOT real that he simply picked this one up after the war because it looked like his. Any help or info is appreciated. TIA and all the best, Jonathan
    8. Thanks Paul! The brass ring was not original to it, the guy said he had a few extra rings about so he put it to the medal, got it lower because of that. All the best, Jonathan
    9. Got these two while on vacation in Indiana, the one on the left has some glue spilt on its ribbon but I really love the oxidation and the faded ribbon its maker marked L58. Its salty but I really fell in love with it, I think that one really sums up the harshness of the Ost Front. The other one had a brass ring so I threw that away so it sits nicely on its ribbon. All the best, Jonathan
    10. Was trying to figure out did the maker Souval L/58 make Ost Front Medals? TIA and all the best, Jonathan

    13. Lets see first up Fj couple photo, and then two Berliner magazines, the first depicting Ju-88's presumably on the way to attack Malta, and the second showing a Luftwaffe pilot and fellow crew member checking their shipping kills! If anyone could help me with what the back of the postcard says itd be appreciated! TIA and all the best, Jon
    14. Would these penal battalions etc be selected to participate in suicide missions or missions of low survival rate, such as piloting the 'Mistel' against bridges or other targets of opportunity? TIA and all the best, Jon
    15. Looks really good Paul!! From a display standpoint it looks just a little squished though, perhaps if you could get that half mannequin up a little and then pull the rest of the tunic down! All the best, Jon
