    2. Hi Christian, You are THE number 1 in number of victories in our quiz, and the Longest serving #1 "good answerer" (as you call it, or the one who have been the longest Number 1 in victories since the beginning of the quiz). I had forgotten these small stats. Here are the ones who have been Number 1 in victories since the beginning of the quiz. This indicates : * Name - (Victory N? who brought the status of N?1) * Period of time being N?1 - Number of days being N?1 Here is an example : * Dave (Navy FCO) - 1 - 01.11.05 / 04.12.05 - 34 days. Means : * Dave has been N?1 with his 1st victory. He has been N?1 from 01.11.05 to 04.12.05, during 34 days. Here are the results : * Dave (Navy FCO) - 1 - 01.11.05 / 04.12.05 - 34 days. * Christophe - 2 - 04.12.05 / 12.02.06 - 70 days. * Bryan (Soviet) - 4 - 12.02.06 / 08.09.06 - 215 days. * Christophe - 6 - 08.09.06 / 30.11.06 - 84 days. * Bryan (Soviet) - 8 - 30.11.06 / 03.03.07 - 94 days. * Christophe - 10 - 03.03.07 / 12.03.07 - 10 days. * Christian (Zulus) - 11 - 12.03.07 / 12.12.08 - 641 days. In adding all these results, this gives as a grand total : * Christian (Zulus) - 641+ days. * Bryan (Soviet) - 309 days. * Christophe - 164 days. * Dave (Navy FCO) - 34 days. So, you are by far the N?1 of the Quiz!!!!! But, keep in mind that Marc (Lapa) is the N?1 for good answers in the Quiz 2008. Great job from all!!! Cheers. Ch.

I browsed through the web without real success... If another Member has more to post about this, I will be happy to let him win this round. Cheers. Ch.
    10. Hi Tony, The date of death is effectively 13 February 1915. He died in an "accident"; in fact it appears he drowned himself, after being injected a vaccin against fever (!!). Maybe a mistake in dosing ? We'll never know for sure... He has been considered as dead "in service". About the ID tag; I'm far from being an expert, and will let other Members answer. Hope this helps. Cheers. Ch.
    11. He, he, not an easy one... I will try something : Could they be catholic, from Poland ? Cheers. Ch.

    14. Ivan is perfectly correct. It is the "Ordre du M?rite Social", in French. Your medal is for a knight (Chevalier). You can see more here : http://www.france-phaleristique.com/accueil.htm On the pic are the two grades of Chevalier and Officier. Not shown is the Commander. Cheers. Ch.? 15. Hi Christian, Congratulations!!!! You are the winner !!!!! I know you could'nt know this one... You're right : he is Sergei Vladimirovich Mikhailkov. He worked for 60 years on the anthem of the Soviet Union / Russian Federation. This pic has been taken by Yevgeny Khaldei. His famous style can be recognised, here. I know you like, as I do, this famous photographer. But, this pic has been taken in Berlin, not Vienna, in May 1945. Congrats again!!! Your turn, now... Cheers. Ch.
    16. To all, I will be away from internet during one week. Just think who could be the photographer, where could this pic have been done.... and you should find who is our man!!! Cheers. Ch.

    18. Where would we be (all of us) without the PMD ? For me, it has no price !!!! And, if I was a new collector, I would still buy it, as a starter... The price ? What's a price? Cheers. Ch. PS / I'm happy having got it in 1997. But, at that time, $95 (+ postage...) was a heavy heavy price...
    19. Hi Christian (and others), Another hint. Look at the pic quietly. This pic should remind you something... (ans specifically to you, Christian !!). This pic has something "specific", a kind of "signature"... Cheers. Ch.
