    1. (I just wish there were more interest in this thread anymore . . . or in anything non-Teutonic . . . . )
    2. I, too, have that same bad feeling, buddy. I hope you are wrong, but I do fear otherwise. Whwre has everyonme gone? Maybe, not being architecture anymore, interest has dimished? I so HOPE that shouldn't tell us SOMETHING?? Clue: More places than one are Red. Close to and far from the Mother. Need better clue?
    3. Wow!!! Bayarlalah, "UB"!! Must learn more, must learn more!!
    4. Does anyone have a short, reasonably elegant CLOTH ribbon bar group including the ribbon for this order? I am putting together an article on the order for JOMSA and need an example to show. Also, should anyone wish to read over, comment upon, abuse, and otherwise help my draft, please contact me by e-mail (maharao@yahoo.com). Bayarlalah!
    5. Rick. I feel your pain as the forum's multi-lingual translator. I very much appreciate what you do for me and others. If you want paid, let me know. (I am quite serious!) I paid The Researcher for AWOL translations and engaged the co-author of the Red Bible for other translations that are (as we say in South Asia) "just coming". Where do I get the RNA transplants for Russian language ability?
    6. Maybe I should just offer Igor my firstborn? Actually, my thirdborn is a better deal, teenage, female, unusually attractive, has a real GIFT for languages . . . .
    7. Absolutely, these will be split (when I can "score" the mounts). And I am doing this for PRECISELY the sorts of reasons you suggest. So long as there was a 1% (OK, 0.5%) chance they were kosher, they stayed together. No more.
    8. Looking at it more, Rick (and, as you know, I am TOTALLY language-challenged), I would agree with your characterization of the book: narrow numismatic information, but of limited broader phaleristic interest. Still, part of the bibliography corpus, and I am glad to have captured it.
    9. Thanks! That is pretty much what I and the very honest forumite from whom I got it expected. No real disappointment. As details emerge, it may be a nice enough tale anyway.
    10. Fascinating early glimpse. Yes, I assume this is what they are trying to describe.
    11. A new (to me) source, a 1990 52-page paperback booklet by the well known Victorov-Orlov. It seems to be based on the Russian version of the 1977 "blue book" in Mongolian, though there also seems to be some new information too. As it is in Russian, I can't be completely sure .
    12. Well, the research is (finally!) in. For all the good it does. The promised (and paid-for) translations weren't included (as promised), so I have to beg the assistance of our Russian readers. Beg. Please. Grovel. I think I know the outcome (rather as expected?), but . . . ????? The award card, front side.
    13. Help? Please. Pretty please. It is immensely frustrating to "know" but not to KNOW. I should either learn to read Russian -- easier said than done -- or quit this stuff. Should the translations ever arrive :insane laughter receeding into the far distance: I'll add them here.
