    1. Slightly but a Soviet recipient of an Order of Military Merit. But an ADMIRAL???
    2. And one more, he was hiding. Also soft focus.
    3. Reverse? As usual. And as predicted. Knowing your fondness for backsides, errr back sides, I should have posted this already.
    4. Just in, one of those tiny, thin, fragile plastic ribbon bars. I fear that if I blow on it it will dissolve away. Pretty straightforward, but what is the last one? Has something obvious fallen through my Swiss-cheese brain-holes? The stripes are greener than they look in the scan.
    5. A lot of collectors use QSA ribbon, though it differs slightly. I know the OMSA ribbon bank had some, I sent it to them.
    6. Thanks. Two more: 7- It is a very nice recommendation. 8- The US$ is worthless. This is priced in US$. Just ("just") some 410,000 roubles (or 1,004,177,022,450,000 Zimbabwe dollars).
    7. A complex question: 1- What it represents = three consecutive acts of extreme combat gallantry. 2- That it can be (and has been) researched. 3- Intrinsic value (gold). 4- That a lot of folks (especially in Russia) have the money for something like this.
    8. It has become very hard to find in India. I doubt that any of the recipients are still in service and, therefore, military tailors no longer care.
    9. Actually, it would be very heard to search on that name, given the limitations of forum software. Look around, you will find much of comparative interest, I think! For a nice (at least I like it) Soviet-Mongolian crossover, see http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=10742 To go the other direction, see http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=23322
    10. The Medal "We won" (to use the correct name) is in many places here. See, for example: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=10216&st=01 Welcome to Mongolian awards.
    11. And. When you have to deal with strange foreign awards, you improvise. Look what the Soviets did to British and US awards!
    12. Not wanting to add more fuel to the flames in what is getting a bit "snarly", but three British groups follow. All images small and not great, but the groups aren't mine.
