    1. And the grouping grew, with the pilot's logbook - just a few hundred flights through the whole 30s
    2. It says just "Georgi Dimitrov", but why so ugly written... Very strange!
    3. The cross shows dark enamel /not white/, probably red color = I think Military Merit breast star
    4. Keep in mind, that: 1. What they tell you, is not always the pure truth 2. Award documents alone and orders alone are very often seen. And the market is where they join each other... Unless there are numbers on the document and the award /and assuming the numbers are not forged/, it is tough to say whether the grouping really belongs together.
    5. Fantastic!! :jumping: Thank you for showing, Eric! A great badge!
    6. This is a copy /official issued copy/ of the Decree, with which that guy was awarded a 2nd gr. "People Republic Bulgaria" order. Goes like this: Copy State Council of People's Republic Bulgaria Decree Nr 2060 The State Council of People's Republic Bulgaria, based on article 93 pt. 23 of the Constitution, DECREES: Awarding comrade Toncho Tanev Nedev from Starozagorski mineralni bani /that's some village I think/ with order "People's Republic Bulgaria" 2nd gr., for active participation in the struggle against the fashism and capitalism and building the socialism, for his 80th birthday. Sofia, June 20th 1986 Chairman of the State Council - T. Jivkov Secretary of the state Council - N. Manolov True with the original - Chief of the office - T. Tomov Collated - LA /someone from the secret services maybe?/
    7. Thank you! And not a medal, sword or dagger, but today got something more from the same person - one of the two badges, used for closing the pilot's mantle :jumping:
    8. Here it is: Left side: Vasiv Marinov Toshev from Sofia born 16 12 1914 Tall, brown eyes, grizzled hair, nose correct shape signed.... Right side: Ministry of Peoples Defense PRIVATE CARD for awarded people number.... The military command of district Sofia certifies that Vasil Toshev is awarded with Military Order for Bravery IV grade 2nd class Order number 32 /I mean written order, this time not in the meaning of the award, but in the meaning of paper/ from 25 April 1946 17 Dec 1970 Commander of the Sofia military district, General Lt. Rusev
    9. To make it even better, the badge came not alone, but with the scarce parade belt and the even more scarce Air Force blue color aglets. And not simple aglets, but double, for commanding officer! That was a good find!!!!!!
    10. I can tell you, there are still good things out there for us!!!!! And also can tell you, that extraordinary things happen. Why extraordinary: I have an album of the 1928 pilots class. And the pilot badge of one of these men. And suddenly, I got the badge of another of these men! Very extraordinary, the whole class was only 8-9 men /the air force existed secretly, due to the post-WW1 restrictions/, there were several more classes from other years, but the only 2 pieces I have ever seen - and have them - belong to two men from the 1928 class! How nice! So, this is my new addition! 1916 type Pilot badge, made post-WW1. Named and dated!!!! The new one is on the left. The photo shows the men and those very same badges are on them!!!
    11. No problems, but it's all about eyes Smth like that: Structure and functions principles Structure of the eye Main points of the stereoscopic viewing Parallax angles Stereoscopic........ .....of the stereoscopic viewing, cases of.... effects
    12. The object on the last photo - isn't that an old buoy, taken out of the water?
    13. Just a random photo - Storch mail. Looks like a MP stored in the cockpit?
    14. A period photo of this type of uniform. No wing and no collar tabs.
    15. Technically, this is a white hat But in that light, it looks Ok with the light mustard color tunic
    16. Here is another one. Again, no boards. But the boards are the only thing missing - this model never had collar tabs of a wing above the pocket. At later time the wing appeared /IMO after 1937/, but this one is probably a little earlier
    17. Just noticed on the photos, some idiot has buttoned the tunic wrong Don't know who, it wasn't me, when I returned home it was already put on the plastic torso and ready for a photo
    18. Most of these uniforms did not have collar tabs. Very few did /seldom seen on photos!/. And this one did have tabs, unfortunately missing, like the boards. Still hope to find a pair!
