The inlay doesn't looks like for an EK2. There is even a gap in the middle for the pin and the hinge.

I think thats normal for California, but not for Germany. They call it already the "summer of the century" here. Btw. I have a lot of material about shells, fuses etc. from WW1, but nearly nothing about shell cases and their size. If someone here is reading this, who has more informations, please let me know. I only have infos about the "basic" and most common types (Feldkanone, Haubitzen, M?rser etc.). Thanks!

Very interesting picture of the bavarian Telegraphen-officer! And thanks to Rick for showing the difference between the "Uffz-Litze" and the bavarian-Litze. I wonder which type of bayonet this officer is wearing. Very short and the scabbard looks strange too.
