    1. Hello Gentlemen, It seems very likely it had existed a 1st Type of insignia likely instituted in 1971, These photos were taken by me, in Numismatic Museum Habana ( Calle Obispo ) 1 month ago. In the museum, they had also Hero Estrella ( which is Hero of Cuba , with institution dated 1979 ). In the museum, they do not display Hero del Trabajo Estrella, but we can assume, that the museum was not a priority for the cuban government. But it's nice it exist. Regards to all. Emmanuel
    2. Hello Gentlemen, Hello No One, thanks for contributing to this forum. Actually it's not easy to come by Djibouti Medal, thanksfully I have, almost all of them. Here are better picture of the Etoiles des Actes de Courage & Devouement ( ie star ( medal ) for Act of courage & Dedication to Duty ). Mine has a plain ribbon, but I host a photo of another one, with a bronze star on ribbon, likely for a subsequent citation. The medal is 40 millimeters in diameter, 3 millimeters thick, and its weight is 34 grammes. Regards to all. Emmanuel
    3. Hello Gentlemen, And last of mine, the Medal Fé en la Causa awarded by the General High Command of the Armed Forces of Colombia. It's the 2nd Class, as, due to photo, we now know it exist as a 1st Class award, in neck badge, but those are hard to get. The cross in itselfs is 50 x 50 Millimeters. Total height with crown is 76 millimeters. It's a very thick medal. Weight is 65 grammes. Regards to all. Emmanuel
    4. Thank you "No One" , I have to agree that it is hard to get accurate translation from chinese , especially when it is about old chinese medals ( before WWII ). There was a book published some years ago about the Order of China, then the author choose to publish a book about the Medal of the Chinese Empire ( before 1912 ). He had in mind the publishing of a 3rd book about Medals of China ( 1912 - 1949 ?? ), but due to the relative flop of the 2nd book never published the 3rd one. I remember having asking him the question about this Ministry of Transportation Order, and he replied me that in China, collectors were considering it as a Medal, not as an Order ( nevertheless it is clearly a multi class award ). Long time ago a well known british dealer had a breast star of the second version of the Ministry of Transportation "Medal" the one used from 1929 onwards till ?? 1937.....no idea if it was issued after. Anyway warm thanks for putting some lights on a topic, few do research on. Best regards. Emmanuel

This medal exist in 3 ranks : Bronze, Silver, Gold, and likely real gold for the Sultan himself and Sultan from Malaysia who may have attended the Jubilee Celebration. Regards to all. Emmanuel

    14. Hello Gentlemen, Hello Gordon, There is 4 Fé en la Causa, the one you show us here , is the one awarded in the name of the General Command of the Armed Forces of Colombia. I had in my collection, the breast one, but it's the first time I see one as a neck badge. It exist also a Fé en la Causa for the Army, another one for the Navy, and a last one for the Air Force. I only have seen them as breast badges (all the 4 above mentioned). But the quality of workmanship is very good for a modern medal. Best regards. Emmanuel
    15. Hello Gentlemen, The Royal Commemorative Medals of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, are rare on market. Usually you found the decree on the online platform of Luxembourg Gouvernment Legilux.com The last medal to have been mentioned on Legilux was the medal for 25 Years of reign of Grand Duke John of Luxembourg in 1989. I acquired yesterday in an auction in Paris, what seems to me a possible tender, as 1st of all, I have never heard about such a medal before, 2nd no mention on Legilux The medal is made by Arthus Bertrand, who also manufactured the Grand Duke John 25 Years of reign. The medal is 28 Millimeters in diameters, 50 Millimeters height to tip of cross on crown. Tickness : 2 Millimeters. Weight : 16 Grammes. To compare, the Grand Duke John Silver Jubilee has a weight of 18 grammes without its ribbon. (small 2 grammes weight difference for medals of equal size & equal crown). There is a very weak triangle AB ( for Arthus Bertrand ) mark on rim, and a better made punch mark on the ring. The reverse bear MM for 2000 in Latin, the year of Accession. Grand Duke Henri ascended the Throne of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on 7 October 2000, after his father the Grand Duke John had announced on 24 December 1999 that he was going to abdicate the throne the next year. I do remember that the ceremony was shortly postponed due to the car crash accident of the younger brother of Grand duke Henri , the Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg and his wife Princess Sybille on 11 September 2000, as initially the planned date for accession was 28 September 2000. Concerning the medal, I believe it was proposed to the Authorities of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg by manufacturer Arthus Bertrand, but not approved. Actually the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has a long tradition of issueing a Medal for the Wedding of the Heir toi Throne ( John in 1953, Henri in 1981, Guillaume in 2012 : Guillaume the son of Grand Duke Henri, not his brother !!!!, and in 2 occasion, a medal for Jubilee ( ie 50the Years of Reign of Adolph & 25 Years of John ). ie : I will do another post concerning the Wedding Medal of Heir to Throne Guillaume of Luxembourg in 2012, because this very specific medal is NOT in Legilux, but I do believe that Grand Duke Henri had paid from his own money for this medal (even if I have no proof, that make sense, and I will explain why in a further post). I would like to know if someone, in Luxembourg, in the Palace, or elsewhere had heard about this Accession Medal, and if ever a specific ribbon was planned for it ? And if yes, would it be possible to get such a ribbon. Regards to all. Emmanuel
    16. Hello Gentlemen, It could be : International Military Sport Council : Order of Merit Officer. The ribbon colours are exactly matching. This award is praised by Military from all nations, I remember I did a post on this Forum in May June 2020 about Botswana, and the award worn by their Chief of Satff, he was wearing that very Order ! https://www.milsport.one/medias/fdvprfiles.php?d=ZmljaGllcnM=&f=MTNfQ0lTTV9PcmRlcl9vZl9NZXJpdDIucGRm&s=1fdfa280a169dc1f3628744679835fc5 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Military_Sports_Council Regards. 19. Hello Gentlemen, These 2 years have been tumultuous for the planet, some countries have been more spared from covid than others, Vanuatu being one of them. There had been a Medal for the 40th Anniversary of Independence, in 2020, https://www.loopvanuatu.com/vanuatu-news/presidential-medal-honour-103584 The article, and the document fold at right hand side of the medal refer to Certificate of National Honor, but the document at left refer to 40th Anniversary Medal. Anyways, this Medal was presented, in 2021, to Deepak Khanna, for his extensive contribution in the field of Vanuatu's media & telecommunication. Regards to all. Emmanuel
    20. Hello Gentlemen, It is now ELM of Singapore that produce the 4 Awards of the Police of Tonga, their name is on reverse of the hook attachment pin. Worcestershire Medal had minted King George Tupou V & King George Tupou VI Coronation Medal. LSGC, MSM Medals from King George Tupou IV might have been produced in Germany, if BlackcowboyBS got some more information about the company Borek, this would be interesting. WORTH, the company of Philip Eagleton had manufactured and designed almost all the Orders, especially from the time of King Georges V 2006-2012. Regards. Emmanuel
    21. Here are some close up photo of the very same medal. The medal is 35 millimeters in diameter and 3 millimeters thick. Regards to all. Emmanuel
    22. Hello Gentlemen, Here is a group that was issued to Captain Chandra Singh Gurung from Nepalese Contingent during WWII. Nepal supplied 8000 troops to India ( British India on that time ). Often this medal, when found as single, got a kind of "replacement ribbon" , I mean these replacement ribbon were made in Nepal too, but due to clothing difference, I assume after the war. I've been myself to Kathmandu in Feb 2006, very nice and authentic area, and still on that time, amazing museum. But I did not found good medal there, maybe not enough time. Regards. Emmanuel
    23. Hello John, Hello Gentlemen, Here is a scan with all the Medal of the Argentina Navy in my collection, those are all non awarded. All seems in silver-gilt. I know some have been also striken in gold, and a year later another dealer contacted me, with a lot of un-attributed medal ( Argentina Army Navy & Air Force ), in gold, for sale ( he sowed me photo, I went to Buenos Aires, but price was really really high, and he wanted to sell them all...., one of his medal was in Silver, I objected that, and asked if that one (which I had not previously), he would agree to sell, reluctantly he agreed, so at least I had one more. A bit of stress when I existed Buenos Aires Airport, but it seems they did not looked up at all. Regards to all. Emmanuel
    24. Here are the 2 Commemorative Medals : El Congresso de la Nacion a los Combatante en Malvinas. One is in silver, and named on reverse to : Carlos Correa Regards to all. Emmanuel
    25. This is the Argentina Navy Medal Operaciones Internacionales, with clasp HAITI. This medal issued to AI SSAM JUAN CARLOS ESPINDOLA. The medal is also hallmarked on its reverse. The way I got this medal, I was in Vietnam, there was a seller in Argentina, on a well known online auction site, and he was selling that medal. We were in 2006, I won the auction, after I had to send to the seller 50 $ for the gasoline to drive to Buenos Aires Airport Pistarini to ship by Fedex. And I got it. I did 3 more trip to Argentina in 2016 to 2018, but I was never shown this medal for sale there. If ever someone, got a similar medal, for sale, for Golfo Persico, or any other pasador, I would be very inetersted. Regards to all. Emmanuel
