    1. This just goes to show, how hard early mistakes persist. In one of my earliest list, that I sent out to other collectors at that time, I mention there exists a "A 37.1/M 20 - Type 2.1 (pinback, silver, hand-engraved); Low = ??/High = 3151" (I have a pic of it somewhere), I have never seen a second one since, and I am convinced now, 3 years later, that it is a repaired T1.2. I have been repeating this again and again to all involved, please change this in your listings, this one does NOT officially exist So please forget about this one. I am sorry, it was I who started all this but I would love to put an end to this aswell NOW
    2. "Military Glory" is probably very close, altough I would rather say medal than order, since the "daichin aldar II" is followed by "medaliar" rather than "odon" Jan PS: I've been abroad for a week, and have just been catching up with the latest post, and I just wanted to say, you've done a great job guys, I learned a lot today, keep up the good work
    3. The most interesting part about this book is the page with the technical data of the orders and medals. It gives weight and measurments, and metal content, this might be very helpful once we start seeing fakes. I put abbreviated translations next to the correponding russian text. Jan
    4. I think there is a clear distinction between Terguunii-distinguished and Avarga-champion. Now, as to what the award criteria were for each, I have no idea Jan
    5. Hey, that's great, congratulations. Well, no unique piece for Dr B then, but a new confirmed sub-variant with lowest known serial #77-highest #89
    6. Well, I don't think enamel just dissappears, if it was ever there it would leave some traces. We would see badges with half of the enamel gone, but not completely undamaged badges, with no traces of the green enamel on the leaves. So I guess they exist with and without, ... oh no, another sub-variant, will this never stop? I hope not
    7. I've got some as well, I would like to have translitterated, if anyone would be so kind Number 1
    8. For a very brief period of time (in 1940), around 6 months if I remember correctly, the Mongolians used the latin alphabet as their official script. Then they quickly changed to cyrillic, I presume under enormous Soviet pressure. This badge is the only tangible reminder of this period. So not really English, rather Mongolian in letters we can read. Jan
    9. They were the post-Choibalsan version, and they were at 175 US Jan
    10. Shouldn't we call Type 2.2 rather Type 3? I agree it is also a pinback, but seeing that the metal content is definately different I would opt for Type 3. What do you guys think?
    11. Alas, I refused a few a year or 2 ago, because I found them too expensive, hah... Stupid, stupid, stupid. Anyway, I did not have the money for them at that time, I earn more now,... and I still cannot afford them, because they are twice as expensive now
    12. IMHO the odd green is actually a nice blue, with a thick layer of old "yellowed" varnish
