    1. It's: T?gr?g (Tugruk) although I think one says Tugrik in English Jan
    2. Might I propose that in the future, instead of (or together with) posting direct links to objects on ebay or from an online dealer, we post some pix of this item. These discussions are quickly rendered obsolete once the item dissapears from the net. Also, especially for such rare seen items, some reference pix would be a great addition to this, or any, forum. Jan I'll try to set the good example, unfortunately I only saved the obverse pic Picture Courtesy: Atlantic crossroads
    3. I think it's an Outstanding Construction
    4. Could anyone transliterate the name of this SB order recipient? ??? Donoin Luvsansharav??? I had quite a shock when I saw this doc, I thought it matched up with mine, but alas...mine is 1483 not 1473. Well, at least I know now that mine was issued between 26 june 1981 (n? 1473) and 9 july 1981 (n? 1491) Jan
    5. I have a similar doc that was ID-ed as a KGB honorary certificate. Isn't an ID supposed to have a photo. I have a second one, that is older, which is, supposedly, also a KGB honorary certificate. I asked Dr Battishig for a translation, but apparantly they are in old Mongolian and he is looking for someone to translate them to new Mongolian, then he will translate them to English. He will post them, with translation, on his website, which is currently under construction. Jan
    6. As far as I know, there are no other docs with this design, so it is most likely KhG, though I cannot be sure.
    7. I'm not sure this is a badge number, there are 2 types of more recent KGB badges, see post 1 for one of these, and these are unnumbered!!!!. I cannot imagine that these are from the last 10 years only. Moreover on the 80th anniv badge from 2001, we see that the KGB has switched to an eagle as symbol. I believe, but a good translation should be able to tell us more, that the numbers on the doc are not a date but more something in the line of : by decision 201, of March 18, 1991, blabla received the KGB badge" As usual just my 2 cents Jan
    8. A variation of the Correction Facility Guard.
    9. And another Best BG variation, made by the Russian Mint. It is a lot heavier and has a much better finish than the other cheaply made BG badges.
    10. Here's a, serial numbered, variation of the "best border guard" badge. PS: two pix of the same variation
    11. Not mine unfortunately. My "photos-of-orders-medals-and badges" collection is much nicer than my real collection
    12. This was on ebay recently, I wanted it but did not bid high enough The 1 million miles badge is Q04 in the book (p127)
    13. The Choibalsan shooter is of course in the book, but I would like to show this one with a great home made backing.
    14. Good idea Ed, we'll have quite a task to accomplish. For starters, this is badge W31 in the book, but with a smaller variation
    15. I can't get enough of these, thanks for sharing Jan
    16. Nothing mindboggling, still quite a few (expensive) gaps to fill, but I LOVE 'em If you want a close-up of any item, just ask. Enjoy
    17. Rick, good idea, but a gentleman from the forum has already offered to help with this ribbon. Thanks for the interest everyone, and for the helpful replies. And, Rick, happy hunting for that missing piece and cheap RAO Jan
