Soldiers cross?! But he was promoted to Oberleutnant z.S. in 1911 (!!!) So theoretically he should get officer cross.

What really puzzles me (and this is why I found this thread ... in the process of trying to figure it out ) is that he has bulgarian soldiers cross for bravery in his medal bar (4th class)
