    1. Yes, but I'm at work for a couple of days. This is the best I could do at the moment. I'll update with better pictures at the beginning of next week.
    2. I've recently aquired this. I believe it to be a nice 2'nd Knight m/1866? Has the rolls survived? Most likely a swedish recepient. Best regards Christian
    3. Interesting Chris. I would very much like to see it if you have the time to post it some day? I believe you asked some questions regarding the positioning of the regiment in 1917 some time ago. Was it connected to this document?
    4. Queen Viktoria of Sweden were the Chef of FR34 and they used a variation of her chiffre as the regimental "number". So the connection with Sweden is certainly there. But a thicker version was used by the regiment on the shoulderboards. Yes, the seller stated that the ribbon did not belong to it orignally.
    5. This was recently offered on ebay. Claims to be an Kragenabzeichen for Freiwilligen Bataillon Schade. They were made up from FR34 with the same regimental symbol. So I guess it makes sense. I looked in Woolley's book on the Freikorps but couldn't find any information regarding them. Do some of you lads seen this before in a book or maybe as a live Kragenabzeichen?
    6. I have a Oberleutnant Hellmer serving in FR34 in Stettin 1911. Do some have some more information, perhaps from a DAL?
    7. There are few of these plates around. But indeed a pain to find at a decent price. I don't really know the reasons behind it. But I guess it were old regiments with an glorious enough past. Some parts of the 33th and a little bit later the whole of the 34th were given these rights in the middle of the 1800s. Both of them Swedish regiments in pommern since the beginning of 1700s. Later transferred to the prussians after the deal made in june 1815 regarding some territories (we got Norway, shitty trade when considering these guys kept rebelling against us). Back to the first post of the topic. Somebody that can help me clarify things?
    8. Recently got this haube. The plate is original, the big question is if it's orginal to the shell. What is it supposed to be with the mixture of officer parts, Einjähriger? There is a extra outtake for the plate, but coud it be that it just didn't fit the fit the first holes?
    9. I need some help on the abbreviation on this pin. L.I.R=Landwehr Infanterie Regiment?
    10. The last four snapbacks I've seen on ebay has went for 805E, 806E, 809E, 915E. So sure it's a bit of a jump in price.
    11. I would not call it a record. I remember this funky EK from December last year. A whopping 1823E. But it certainly is a insane price for a J H Werner. This were up two years ago and reached the moderate price of 478E. A damn shame I was outbid on it.
    12. Ah, I'm sorry, seems there have been some misunderstanding. I did not get it neither, lost it by a couple of Euro. Just posted it on the Swedish forum as it was an extremely interesting bar. I'm sorry for any confusion I've caused. Best Christian
    13. I will fix a picture of the back, though it will take a couple days. /Christian
    14. Mr. Schulze Ising has written an article on this version of the Saxe-Ernestine House Order. Very interesting reading and it seems the ribbon is correct. http://www.medalnet.net/House_Order_of_Ernestine_for_foreigners.htm Learned something new today.
    15. Thanks for replying guys. It's only 42mm so that would make it a Knight. Is the wrong(?) ribbon contributed to it being foreign-made or perhaps it's correct for bestowal to foreigners?
    16. This is a strange Saxe Ernestine. Foreign-produced? Never seen this kind of medallion and with the wreath missing.
    17. This is what I would expect from a 1930ies piece. http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/32292-carl-eduard-medaille-in-1935/page__p__304312__hl__eduard__fromsearch__1#entry304312
    18. Thank you for the link. But it seems to be the same information as in the biography written by Zinke & Schulz. None of the list the company number. I have deceided to get a copy of the mentioned regimentsgeschichte by Gerhard Lubs and will get back if or when I get any information. (To the moderators, I'm sorry to have started two topics on the subject, I had a hard time deciding where to put a Reichwehr inquiry.) Best regards
    19. Thank you for the offer. But as I have general interest in IR5, I will see if I can get my hands on Gerhard Lubs extensive regimentsgeschichte on IR5.
    20. Sorry, I have misread the biography. The text were "flowing" and I took the first date as the corresponding one. So 1920 - mid 1922 as general staff officer is correct. Then after this he seems to had a brief stint as Kompanieführer in IR5 but no company is listed.
    21. I recently started a thread in the Wehrmacht research forum, but maybe it will be better here. Between 1920 - 1922 were Paul "Papa" Hausser kompanieführer in Infanterie-Regiment 5. Stettin. Does anyone know in which company or batallion? Maybe there is something i Lubs, IR 5 - Das Pommersche Regiment? Best regards Christian
