Hello, I have an opportunity to buy this cross. Body itself along with medallion looks good, only concern that I have is the upper part where the swords once used to be (I believe). Another bad spot is where the ring is attached to the body which is obviously a repair. My intention is to go to jeweler with swords made by Leser and ask him to gilt them. Then I would attach them to the body using the original device. Whole process (along with the cross as shown below) would cost not more than 250 EUR. If you were me would you do that? I think it's worth... Thanks for your opinions.

Guys, how your invoice from Marko looked like? Mine contained reference neither to any Marko nor any other company, there was just a logo saying "XT commerce". There are no terms and conditions on his site, no description of return policy and what worries me at most is the absence of payment via PayPal... Did he changed his website in recent days or it is 'business as usual' and always been like that? Thx.

Jubiläumskreuz für Offiziere und Unteroffiziere des K. und K. Infanterie-Regiments Nr. 62 Ludwig III. König von Bayern Does any of you guys have one? This is what I received today and as already highlighted couple of days ago in other topic there are some concerns I have about it. First of all, there's not much info out there. Actually the only source I have is German Wikipedia which briefly says that there were 350 pieces awarded in 'Eisen' which I believe was the material used for these crosses. Iron means magnetic what my cross isn't. Secondly there are some flaws on the obverse and avers which are covered with paint. That makes me believe that my piece is a not very successful cast & painted black copy from recent years. Obverse:

At least he's registered as a business seller so you can return items whenever you want. Last week i bought from him Ludwig's regimental cross. 99% it's fake but there's still 1% chance that it is not. So I will post the pictures when it arrives, we will discuss and then I will decide what to do with the item. It's really unfortunate to see good sellers turning into ''clubs"...you know what I mean. Last week he had a RAO w/S for sale which was discussed here and turned to be a funny chicken replica. From his current portfolio - what the about the meck 1st class? http://cgi.ebay.com/MECKLENBURG-DUCHY-WW1-BRAVERY-CROSS-1st-class-SUPER_W0QQitemZ390170832570QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Collectables_Militaria_LE?hash=item5ad7fe6eba

Hello guys, have you seen this one on eBay? Looks like it was forgotten somewhere in the attic for whole century. I wonder what the final price would be http://cgi.ebay.com/Original-WW1-German-Bavarian-5-Medal-Bar-Estate-P-U_W0QQitemZ120546822626QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item1c112689e2

I think this is one of his new nicknames on the eBay -> munich654321. I discovered this by coincidence when I was on hunt for real MVK1. He revealed himself by selling the same fakes and using the same description for his items. Raritaetensammlerclub / Munich654321 Raritaetensammerclub: OEK 426 - Militärverdienstkreuz 3. The aircraft behind (DFW C.V) was introduced in 1916. So I'd say yes, photo could have been taken in 1917-18 ;) -

This is the only original photo from WW1 that I have. I think here we can see the reason why the EK2 is so common in the marketplace in these days. If you look closely you would see at least 16 guys out of 45 wearing the EK2. Who knows how many of those in the 2nd row wear EK2 as well. -

Hello, unfortunately this is no 'passport to military academy'. "Ceskoslovenske statni drahy" = Czechoslovak State Railroads and the document made him eligible either for 50% discount on one way ticket or free return ticket
