Dear all, I picked up these ribbon bars some time ago. Something with the Carl Eduard medal was missing from my collection and I' ve been looking for it for quite sometime. Any thoughts on these? It looks like the bar with the metal backing took a bit of a beating. And could this be a unique combination? Also, how many swords can you fit on a bar... (probably a lot more...) Best, Peter

Latest from Ebay from the past few weeks. After about 1,5 years and posting around 2K items, I'm winding my operation down. There are more and more items of the same type and filtering and filing takes more time. Also on a personal note, I do not have the energy anymore to keep this going on. I might post the odd item from now on, but not in the amount I used to. Best. Peter

Dear all, this ribbon bar came in today. This one got my interest since it bears a resemblance with a medal bar I'd seen before, see the other photo. The photo with the medal bar is from the website of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ordenskunde e.V. (link). Apparently the photo was taken at an exhibition titled „Die Südwestafrika-Denkmünze 1907 und deren Gefechtsspangen“. The setup of the ribbon bar and medal bar look similar, the Marinekorps cross and the Austrian MVK could be from after the ribbon bar was made. Could this be the same guy? And if so, does someone happen to know the name or have a better picture from the exhibition? Best, Peter
