    1. Not entirely the right way to look at it of course but: - 2000 SB's at 2K a piece - 400 Soyombos at 8K a piece factor 4-5 in volume and inverse also in price doesn't sound that unreasonable... it's more the sudden rise in price that surprised me... 3-4K for a soyombo I always found cheap considering the significance and rarity of this award. with SB's heading toward 2.5-3K... I think soyombos will be quickly heading over 10K am just glad I got mine when I did as I sense that "Soviet collecting times" are coming who knows of course how much the researchability now has to do with price increases... it's a whole new ball game now
    2. First time I purchased a Soviet group, ok... a relatively small one but still excited about it. Would appreciate some help with translation as English translation of research was not part of the deal. - Order of Service to the Motherland 18.861 - Order of Red Star 3.595.471

I guess no more new Soyombo's for me
    5. You're right. I proposed a "send it for certification to Nota Bene and I'll pay the costs if it's real" solution to buying an item but that did not go down well... the seller issues his own certificate of authenticity though
    6. Thanks Christian - seems like this dealer only sales "highend" fakes then
    7. Interesting... the same SB's appear to "circulate": 1.246 twice in below list, 1.514 twice in below list, 644 twice in below list! 8. To add to this, I have 3700025 - also obtained from Mongolia and supposedly awarded to a Mongolian. Research is pending but no luck (yet). Besides, I have in my notes (don't recall from where) 3700025 - 3700416 as the known range for Mongolian awardees of red stars.
    9. This also explains perhaps why the auction catalogue is more than Dmitry Markov posts on his site. Why offer an SB for sale at say 2.5K if you know that there'll be people bidding it up well over a reasonable market price anyway?
    10. Just when you think SB's have dried up, new ones pop up. Check out the Mongolian section of Dmitry Markov's upcoming auction (the prices of some badges are shall we say rather "high" by the way!!!)!
    11. Well, then probably there's not much for us to comment on here at GMIC since most likely we don't know your friend either. In any case, if he's your friend, probably that should be a good reason to believe him, no? Or just go by his house, have a beer and enjoy the A1
    12. Thought I'd post this in the thread (as booklets are focus)... now, how to recognize the "mark"? "decision of the presidium of small hural and Council of Ministers OF MNR for №2'-2"of 16 May of 1941 g.) 26. After death of that rewarded the relatives of the latter during the year are obligated to return its orders into the presidium of small hural. In the order book the corresponding mark is done, and itself it reveals to the hands to the relatives of dead person as memory about his merits. "
    13. Is the picture one of the A1 your friend has? Reverse pic possible? I do understand there's an A1 "in play" on the market at this time as I've also been felt out about my interest to acquire one.
    14. For sale, along with other rare items... If real the, after checking my Durov/Strekalov book on Red Banner, would have been in the range of awarded...
    15. ah missed the 813... indeed a narrow window... production run of 800? one day...
    16. http://www.forum-su.com/topic58884.html 835 - low for a pinback!
    17. http://www.forum-su.com/topic38713.html A bit of an unsult
