    1. Oh, you need some pics from WILM-EK?s? Here are my two beauties: 1) excellent condition, almost unworn
    2. No...the white border is missing. Greetings Solomon
    3. Hehe, nice photo of Leopold IV. prince of Lippe-Detmold. He is also wearing a star of the House Order Lippe-Detmold... Greetings Solomon
    4. He don?t listed it in 1917, so I?m quite sure he didn?t award it. Every other award he got till October, 23th in 1917 he listed. Greetings Solomon
    5. Yes, I?m sure it is :-) By the way, Manfred von Richthofen also got a reward from Lippe-Detmold. I showed a copy of the original signed receipt, I found in the archive of Detmold. The shown document is only one of a (almost) complete group of documents...I?ll show you the rest, when I?ve collected all the information. Greetings Solomon
    6. Hello gents, I?ll show you a very nice document for the silver merit medal Lippe-Detmold It?s for the hoboist (=musician) Gustav W?he (from the Inf. Reg. No. 55 = 6.Westfaelisches Inf.Reg. B?low von Dennewitz, the only regiment Lippe-Detmold had) W?he awarded this medal on June, 20th in 1905. The document was originally signed by F?rst Leopold IV. of Lippe-Detmold. The award was spent 593 times. I hope you enjoy it like me... Greetings Solomon
    7. Hi Christophe, this roll exist in the archive...I hope I?ll find it at my next visit. Greetings Solomon
    8. Yes, this was also my first thought... Only a prussian long-service award is possible...he was from Lippe not from Saxony, there is no doubt. But which prussian award, which was worn as "Schnalle", is possible? He served 1870/71 and was in 1907 still alive, maybe still serving (no earlier award then 1871). Greetings Solomon
    9. Argh, a very nice bar There is no roll for the awards with swords...Leopold IV spent it in 1906, so everybody was allowed to wear it, who participated in the war of 1870/71. Indeed the cross check with silver-merit-cross (with swords for 1870/71), the golden merit-cross and the Albert-order should deliever a result. Don?t forget the clasps...maybe also a hint. But...there is something quite strange...a long-service-medal is missing I don?t know why... By the way...where do you see a "Kriegervereinskreuz"? Greetings Solomon
    10. Oh, thats interesting! I didn?t expect the golden medal... I?m not sure if Mr. M?ller returned the silver medal...because of the following abication...this might be interesting. Now I?ve to check all the signed receipts of this medal...something more on my list Thank you for your help... Greetings Solomon
    11. Because nobody would write "geb. Wallenthin Strandberg" on a poster. Translation of the abbrevation "geb.": ...born as... Her real name was: Lilly Sanna Klara Strandberg, born as Lilly Sanna Klara Wallenthin /stage-name Lilly Walleni Lilly Walleni sounds much better Greetings Solomon
    12. Quite a unsual ribbon-bar... I think the outfitter made a mistake...the Lippe ribbon (merit cross) is the combatant-ribbon, I would expect a Hindenburg-cross with swords! And there is another mistake...the ribbon for the HO Lippe is at a wrong place...normally it had to be placed after the merit cross (->statutes). I?m sure it is the HO Lippe-Detmold...otherwise the merit-cross Schaumburg is missing ??? IMO it?s one of the bizarre awards of the HO Lippe after 1918, which can?t be found in the award rolls. Maybe I?m wrong, but there were some awards untill 1939 (I allready showed a photo here on this board, which documented that). Greetings Solomon
    13. Oh, when finished I?ll be very happy The weird names are not as complicated at it looks like...but there is a small problem. They listed towns that are now quarters of bigger towns -example: "Donop" is now a quarter of "Blomberg" (Blomberg-Donop). The example of Blomberg in the south of Lippe is quite good. There live only 17.000 people, but the small town contains of 18 quarters The same problem can be found in other towns of Lippe. At your scan of the list of the Kriegervereinskreuz you can find another example: "Sch?tmar" and "Salzuflen". Sch?tmar now belongs to Salzuflen... Quite a hard job...I feel with you! Here is a small help. The link shows all (and really all) small towns of Lippe. There you can compare the names -> LINK By the way...in the list of the Lippische Rose there are some really interesting entries, or not? When look at the first entry of the 2nd class, you?ll find "Karl Langenscheidt"...his dictionaries are still produced. One example of such a dictionary is actually helping me to write this answer But my favorite is entry no. 33 (Rose 2nd class)...it?s my avatar Greetings Solomon
    14. I?m sorry, but it doesn?t look good in my opinion Only crosses from Zimmermann in Pforzheim (unmarked) are awarded crosses, even the Meybauer-crosses are purchased ones. Please look at the needle of my (original) cross, to see the difference... Greetings Solomon
    15. Thank you for your offer.. the article is finished (but not published yet...) I?m only the co-autor..but I?ll send you a scan when published =this year (sorry, it?s only in german...) Greetings Solomon
    16. Hello Joe, extremly nice (and very rare) medal I?m still searching for one (I only have two with swords on it) It?s quite hard to find, because there were only 147 awards. (Reiner Schwark made a mistake in his book of the orders from Lippe-Detmold and wrote 148 awards...if anybody wonders my number) Greetings Solomon
    17. Please look here: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=11937 I?ve a similar one in my collection... Greetings Solomon
    18. Thank you for your help! I?m going to ask the Landesarchiv Mecklenburg...maybe they can help... Greetings Solomon BTW...here is a silver merit medal of the Leopoldorden Lippe-Detmold (I already showed it...) This one ist made by Carl B?sch, Hannover, who delievered it from 1908-1914.
    19. No,no...the date of the awarding, August, 6th 1913, is correct...it is also mentioned in the first sentence of this doc. I was wrong...sorry! He got the document for it a few month later..in October 1913. Greetings Solomon
    20. Hello gentlemen, at the last Thies auction I got this nice document It?s for the "Herzoglicher Hofj?ger Carl Schulz from (Mecklenburg-)Strelitz" (hunter at the court of M-S). He awarded the silver merit medal of the Leopold-Order Lippe-Detmold on October, 25th of 1913. Now I found out, that Thies divided the group of awards of this person In 2003 (auction No.23) he sold the shown document together with the medal (Now it came without it, but I`ve a fitting one...) and he also sold a document and a "Ged?chnismedaille f?r Gro?herzog Adolf Friedrich V Mecklenburg-Strelitz" at a single-bar (awarded July, 22th 1913) Does anybody have a list, where any other award of this man is listed? I?m quite sure, that he got more awards, maybe from other states... Thank you for any help. Greetings Solomon
    21. Oh my god.... I live in Bielefeld and grew up in Brackwede, where "von Moeller" is a well known family! You are absolutely right...Moeller produced leather and is still producing! (www.moellerwerke.de) There is also a street in Brackwede, named "von-Moeller-Strasse", not far away from the factory! Extremly nice and interesting document...my congratulations Greetings Solomon
    22. ...and there?s nobody, who knows what?s inside #57 It?s the war merit cross Lippe-Detmold It might have been too difficult, because these "cases" where only used for the very early crosses (1914 - Oct. 1915). Later the crosses lay in paper bags with "F?rstlich Lippisches Kriegsverdienstkreuz" on it. Greetings Solomon
    23. Hmm, thanks for your replies...are you sure with that 3th class? I showed this medalbar on a german board a few month ago...nobody said that the 3th class is missing? But you maybe right with the long service cross... By the way, I don?t have a 3th class order of the crown in my collection to add Greetings Solomon
