    1. Technical inspector of the Luftwaffe Official in the rank of a Stabsintendant and another one .......
    2. I post my Luftwaffen-officials here in this new topic, the intention is, that Paul R can take them and sort them in, in his interesting threads about the Luftwaffen uniforms. First one - this older comrade is shown in his officials-uniform... ... but later he wore the uniform of an official of the LSW ( Luftschutzwarndienst ) Another fellow, wearing the SHD insignia. SHD stands for " Sicherheits- und Hilfsdienst " ......
    3. Thanks Rick, I think I got it now: " Die gefertigten Unternehmungen, Verb?nde, Vereine, etc. best?tigen hiermit gerne, da? sie Herrn Wehrmann ( ? ) Micheljack in seiner Eigenschaft als Angestellter des ?sterreichischen Verkehrsb?ros zufolge seiner T?chtigkeit au?erordentlich sch?tzen konnten. Sie bef?rworten daher seine Reaktivierung als durchaus in ihren Interessen gelegen, da er ihnen den Parteienverkehr durch seine gewandte und liebensw?rdige Art und durch seine reichen Sprachkenntnisse erfreulich, erfrischend und angenehm machte. Graz, Febr. 1916 " Seems that this is a certificate for an austrian interpreter, not sure if he was a soldier or not. But they spoke for his good and friendly kind and his "Reaktivierung" which can mean he was re-actived for duty in the army, but also can mean re-activate as an interpreter. The doc is quite nice as there are many stamps and signatures on it Thanks for Your help - opened my eyes a bit more for the letters. Robert
    4. This is some kind of a certificate, but for what ? I can not read all words and so it makes no sense for me yet. I underlined the words that I am not able to read. The text is: " Die gefertigten Unternehmungen, Verb?nde, Vereine ___ best?tigen hiermit gerne, da? sie Herrn Wehrmann ( ? ) Micheljack in seiner Eigenschaft als ___________ des ?sterreichischen ___________ zufolge seiner T?chtigkeit au?erordentlich _________ danken. Sie bef?rworten daher sein ________ als durchaus in ihren Interessen _______, da er ihnen den ___________ durch seine gesamte ___ liebensw?rdige Art und durch seine reichen Sprachkenntnisse _________ __________ ____ angenehm machte. Graz, Febr. 1916 " As You see, I have found out myself a few of the under-lined words myself. " T?chtigkeit " in the fourth line and " angenehm " in the last line. Any help is highly appreciated. Thank You Robert
    5. Another one Don't know the name of the officer, but the name of the dog is written on the back: " Bero von Possenhofen " - dog-nobles. Greetings Robert
    6. Maybe one remark. In a ground-to-air combat the whole battery got the markings on all guns, cause the whole battery fired at the airplanes together and it was probably impossible to name the gun which made the "final hit" to kill the airplane. Robert
    7. ........ 30 in the end this gun had 38 victorys. These photos are from 6 albums with about 1200 photos from a gunner in the Flak-Regiment 5 at the channel coast. Kind regards Robert
    8. .............. 11 on the barrel some day the barrel broke Now it's easier to show whole pages of the album 21 victorys - for 2 victorys the whole unit got "Abschusswimpel" - little flags that were raised at a pole near the firing position .....................
    9. ............ let's proceed to number 4, that day they were awarded with IC 2's and 11 the room on one side wasn't enough anymore, so they used the other side too ................
    10. Hey Snoopy, I have some small contributions. 8.8 cm Flak at the channel coast. From "0" to "38" First victory 9.april 1941 They painted the victory markings to the barrel and the Kommandoger?t and a photo of the victim ..............
    11. Here are two portraits of Generals coming out of a Reichswehr photoalbum from a musician of the Prussian Infantry Regiment 2. I have already posted this question earlier ( some years ago when I got the album ) and I got satisfying infos, but I have lost the files and can not find the older thread, which probably has been deleted. So - could You please give me the information again, I need it for the Photosammler-DVD which is in work. First this "Heavy Metal" General, master of all medal-bars: And this friendly looking fellow: Many thanks in advance Robert
    12. Dogs of War, yes. I have two doggies myself and they are true friends. Here's one young boy with his dog Kind regards Robert
    13. There are some tank photos too Interesting is the writing on the tank: " Nicht besch?digen, wird fahrbar gemacht" - " Do not damage, will be repaired again " and another one, which tank is that ? Enough for today, tonorrow I post some more. Have to get ready for another nightshift now. Kind regards Robert
    14. When I was at home, I read the writing on the back. Hard to read this handwriting, but a few words are clear: That was the 35th air-victory of the Red Baron. What I can read is: " 35. Luftsieg des Frh. von Richthofen bei Granelle (?) der Abschuss erfolgte vormittags zwischen 10 und 11 Uhr. Der Absturz ............. 600 m n?rdlich Granelle im ........ und ..........." and the second one: " 35. Luftsieg des Frh. von Richthofen bei Granelle. Der englische Flieger war schwer verst?mmelt. Die zersplitterten ????? drangen durch den Scho?, vom Kopf .... die Hand ....." Well, without being able to read all words, we can read about the severe wounds that happened to this english pilot. So much about the "Knight's of the Air" !
    15. and now one I like best: Mailed 1911 it reads " ... here You see Your grand-son on watch.... " These Ulanen-photos came together with lots of old postcards. Many of them are adressed to a Baron von Waldenfels in Munich. ................
    16. .............. Again the abbreviation "Res." - "Ingenohl" ??? - k.i.a. Hartmannsweilerkopf ................
    17. ............. The back again with names " Res. Sch?fer" - is that "Reservist" ??? and " Paul Burcaard II " - also not sure about the last name ...............
    18. Here are a few new photos from last weekend. The huge fleamarket at the Theresienwiese in Munich, the place where the Oktoberfest takes place, was last Friday and Saturday. There are about 2000 sellers on this fleamarket. I was on my feet from 05:00 h in the morning to 15:00 h in the afternoon. Couldn't feel my feet the next day. The results were okay, not as good as last year, but okay. Here are some interesting ones: A series of Ulanen, nice details: Detail: On the back it says: Hagenau 1910 and two names: "Rittmeister Schm?ckel" and " Reiter Bethge" (not sure about the "B") .................
    19. I like that one very much cause of the camo-painted steel helmets at the right. It is an IC 1st class award ceremony, only titled: " Westfornt 1918 " Robert
    20. Very very very nice !! I like them. From what year are these ? Some look like they are from the US-civil war. I always love those really old ones. My oldest photo was from 1865, but I have sold it in the times when I concentrated the collection to portraits of the 3rd Reich. Wish I would have kept it. Kind regards Robert
    21. Perfect ! Thank You both. I thought the last letter is a "w" and could not see any name that would make sense, but now... So I only need to get 12 portraits of the other Musikmeisters. The funny thing is - all these 4 photos came from totally different sources. Kind regards Robert
