    1. Alexandre, a Google search should bring up a few.
    2. Yea yea, that's how it starts (go on, tell him, Rich) "It's only really PB's though,I don't have much of a desire to collect the other flight badges" or "I only want one each of the qualification badges" It's a slippery slope from there.
    3. That is a sweetie, Rich...But I'm afraid you can't get away with it quite that easily... There are four in the buntmetal series! Oh no! I hear him cry...
    4. Hi Marc, You have a good eye. It looks to be in very nice condition.
    5. It's simply a presentation plaque for a sports event. Here's an example of one that's been issued.
    6. Hi Marc, I always use a camera. I probably don?t have the right scanner for badges as they tend to come out with the highlights too bright. @ Mike.. That swas is a nice touch. In fact the entire eagle is a nice piece of work
    7. With thanks to Marc, I am able to add this early production Flak Badge by ?Hermann Wernstein? to the collection. I?ve never been a great admirer of ?Wernstein? Flak badges until this example arrived. Produced in zinc and finished in heavy nickel plating, my attitude has certainly been changed. The detail, construction and finishing are truly superb and now places ?Wernstein? up there with my favourite makers. Obverse.
    8. Paul, Try right click on the vid link > save target as> save the file to your hard drive, go to your media player > file> open the downloaded file > play.
    9. Apologies, David, Writing PM's and posts at the same time gets a little confusing. Now I'll have to PM Mark and apologise!
    10. That is good news, David. And you're right, I think we all have that box with those little gems that we wish we didn't have. Anyway, here are some comparisons. Originals on the left.
    11. Hi David, I just hate being the voice of doom.. This, I'm afraid, needs to be returned to the seller, if at all possible as this is a quite well known fake. Although the hinge and maker mark are close, the wreath, eagle and overall finish have none of the characteristics of an original BSW piece. When I get a minute, I'll dig out some pix of an original and do some comparison shots.
    12. Well I?m stumped as to why these hangers would have brown material, never seen that before! The buckles and clips are certainly of the deluxe type found on period pieces. In the Luftwaffe, brown waffenfarbe = signals, but I?ve never seen a branch colour applied to dagger hangers. Unless?..they?re not Luftwaffe, but some other branch. I wonder if Red can shed some light on the conundrum? Calling Jo?burg.. Are you there, Boet
    13. Looking at the front of the hangers, the material shows as being brown. I'm hoping that it's just the lighting as it should be blue-grey. If it is blue-grey, I have to tell you that you have a very nice set of deluxe hangers, and from what I can see...the knot looks like a goodun!! Not all bad then.
    14. Pikestaff, There's every chance that the hangers and knot are original. Quite an easy job to marry hangers/knot to a dolch, original or fake. Is there any chance of posting some pix of same? You never know, if original, it could help to soften the blow of the news on the blade.
    15. I must see if that tailor still exists. Very nice work.
