    1. Nice piece, Stan, A good example of how to carry out a cost cutting exercise and get over the lack of raw materials for this late series by using their earlier aluminium wreath die.
    2. Jon, Although there are copies of the LGCB by this maker (Unknown)... This one of your's looks spot on.
    3. Ah, yes ye olde sweetie tins. I remember a few of these being used by my Grandmother as storage for needles etc. But the one I shall always hold dear is the one that was given to my Father when he was a child and I still have today. Yes it?s the common ?Mary?, still containing the pencil bullet and card, but with a little something extra that a small boy (and some older collectors) would love.
    4. Hi Scott, An extract from the 1938 "SS Dienstaltersliste". I'll continue looking for the 12326 SS number and let you know if I come up with anything.
    5. Indeed, a good looking copy, G. Interesting to note that they used what appears to be an original Assmann eagle.
    6. Here's a 2nd class I have in my files...I hope that the owner will have no objections to me posting it. Note the round "3"
    7. Hi Stijn, It has to be glider related. Going on the date (20th May) this would be the first day of the invasion. So would this be the landings at M?leme?
