Here is a intrestingitem I found on ebay and I was wondering if any body could shed any light on it. Heres the Seller Discription of the item, "A couple weeks ago I attended the biggest militaria show in the USA ? the MAX show. I was lucky to obtain there a strong group (I wouldn?t call it a ?collection? ? rather ?accumulation?) of Soviet orders and medals. I am starting to break it. Though I am not a specialist in Soviet decorations, I?ll do my best to give the best descriptions I can. This lot is the COPY of the Star of the HERO of the USSR. It is the OFFICIAL ISSUE of the MOSCOW MINT (VERY RARE SUCH!). ORIGINAL Mint screw. PROPER INSCRIPTION on the back! I've not seen the cimilar item for several years! $3.50 shipping in the USA with delivery confirmation. We accept PayPal and all major credit cards. Good luck! The scan shows the exact decoration which made the lot. Don't confuse this copy with other copies, which were commercially made! This is one of a kind item! RARE!!! The item is in perfect condition. The scan is ABSOLUTELY no good. " Now ive never heard of a offical copy of an award before..... I will try and get a better picture but last time the seller would not supply a better a picture.

Soviet Cased order of Glory 2nd Class
order_of_victory replied to Bryan's topic in USSR: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
Well when you think Collect Russia has a Gory 1st for 5,600 USD and a Glory 2nd for 395 USD. The price for the Cased 2nd Seems a bit steep to me! -

Well they've both been sold Some one obviously thought the price was right for both pieces -

order_of_victory replied to a topic in USSR: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
and once there back in Russia they cant be exported back to the West. Also the more pieces that go back to Russia the less there will in circulation so high end prices will go up in the West! -

Hi Since my last posts on the Order of Red Banner of Labour and Order of the Red Banner of Labour of the Trans-Causian Republic. I have had then checked out by some one who know a lot about Soviet Medals, Not PMD, he as checked the Enamle uder a 'Black Light'. The enamle didnt shine wich means the medals must have been produced in Soviet Russia, not after the wall came down! Has anybody got any more suggetions on the authenticity of these medals?

Soviet Some really bad copies!
order_of_victory replied to Stogieman's topic in USSR: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
I bought the 2nd class fake but had it checked out before I acctually took delivery and rejected the medal and the seller gave me real one in return. But seller has just tried to sell the 2nd class again recently When the auction closed I contacted the highest bidder and told him to reject the medal!
