    1. A lovely group of medals, but I'm a little worried about the uneven wear of the various ribbons. Also the ribbon bar seems a little crude... I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news and perhaps I'm wrong.... Maybe Paul might chime in.... Cheers JC
    2. May I ask what source you are using to try and ID this fellow???? It sounds like I should probably get me one of those!!!! Thanks JC
    3. great!!! I've never seen one of these before! It looks to be of a much higher quality than the rest of these.... Could you please post a picture of the reverse without the screwplate on there??? THanks!! JC Nice Find!
    4. Recently I have seen them go for as much as $450 but really that's too much for me.... In the good old days when 50-100 would get you nice examples..... Anyway back to the real world.. If you can get it for the 200-225 mark you're getting a pretty good deal.... The flat backs do go for a bit less but not as much as you'd expect. Collectrussia's $295 example is a flat back and that's too much, had it been a screwback it might be worth getting.... lastly, I see you are in Canada so if you happen to be near Toronto I'll gladly show you the badges in person because as Ed said they are heavily faked and once you've seen the real thing you won't be fooled by the fakes... Cheers JC
    5. No.261 that just sold for $3500 was in a rather sad state though.... I was thinking about it but after receiving better pictures of the order I decided against it.... Some of you might remember the Industrialization valour that Alexei sold a while back... It had what appeared to be fire damage, this is very much the look the damage on this SB... Who would have thought it 2-3 years ago that even an SB like this could sell for so much... Crazy times... JC
    6. As I mentioned earlier, great looking stuff you have there but how'd do they all look so clean? JC
    7. Nice stuff you have there, also some of the cleanest 60-90 year old medals I've ever seen.... JC
    8. HI Leigh, I'd be interested to see yours to compare at some point... One thing I am sure of, and that is the provenance.... JC
    9. I just got this from an old friend in Mexico.. He lived in Hilversum during the war and this is one of the many things he picked up then... Anyway this is what I "know" The Armband is from the Ordedienst, a resistance movement that consisted mostly of former/defeated soldiers... They must have annoyed the germans because 107 members were executed in May 1942. The armband has stamps on it with the coat of arms of Amsterdam with the words "Amsterdam" at the bottom and "waarmerk stempel" The last one meaning +/- "authenticity stamp". Any info about the piece would be great... Thanks. JC
    10. Had the wife take a look.... Order #107 Team/Unit of the Red "black Sea" Fleet May 1st 1919 The named-below military sailors were considered ready for service by the doctor and are assigned to the team for all types of duties as of the following dates: 52 SR. SL. (not sure about these abbr. yet), Midshipman Ivanov, Dmitri as of 26..........not sure.... Signed: Commander of the Team Maksimov Political committee representative. adjutant Frederick Confirmed by Company commander K............ My wife is asking her dad ( who was in the army, stationed at Baikonur most of the time) and I'll get back to you asap.... JC
    11. Here are two more.... Not sure what they are though. JC Hang on the first one is Italian yes no?
    12. The Evil Geroyamslava is back!!! 100% feedback???? how is this still possible????????? Anyway now that buyers can't get negative feedback anymore I'm considering buying the document and then leaving negative feedback... Not paying mind you.... Nothing more I can do. JC item#320284412444 fake Doc
    13. Great to hear that you have more articles lined up... My brother was a member for a few years but here is the problem both he and I had with the whole OMSA thing.... They publish your home address and send it to all other members.... Now most of the stuff is in the bank and we've both moved since he was a member, but I find it rather strange that this info is so easily available.. There are many members who don't put their goodies in the bank and this is an invitation for thieves to rob them blind... JC
    14. Congratulations Ed, I'd love to see the article!!!! How can I as a non-member get a copy???? Cheers JC
    15. And now for the most interesting one... three Partizans greeting a Russian Delegation. Those Eyebrows do look familiar don't they???? JC
    16. A few Hungarians coming for a visit and some orders.....
    17. A few obvious ones and a few that are harder to make out.... Any thoughts on this one??? JC
    18. here are a few I've found recently... This looks like badge W18... Any thoughts? JC
    19. Anytime Ed, The name is certainly correct and the rest of the text reads... Teacher of secondary school No. 59 in the city of Archangelsk. I just thought I should mention this though... her name is as common as John Smith is in the US so perhaps there are more than one of her. JC
    20. Ed, If you post it or email it to me I'm sure we can sort it out for you... JC
    21. Hi there Ed, I just asked my wife quickly and here's what it says.... Maria Petrovna Ivanova and that's her signature at the bottom... Cheers JC
