Now the exciting stuff!!! (to me) These two documents are from a larger group of documents that I really should post. The recipient was a lady called B. Yanjmaa.......Yes I got all excited too but this person is way too young and although there is a certain resemblance it isn't THE Yanjmaa... Either way it is an interesting set of 12-15 documents that I'll post separately a little later. JC

This one is similar to the one I posted a year or two ago, except this one is a pretty red colour!!! Nice with picture too! JC

I have several of these and even though this one doesn't have a date on it, the others are from the late Forties although I'm sure you could all tell that anyway. Not an award doc. either but it has the usual percentage of "over-work" etc. on it.

As promised, here are several booklets for Udarnik badges and some related documents. I'm afraid that I don't have the badges to go along with the awarding docs but I'm-a-lookin!! enjoy.... I'll start off with a rather crudely printed/handwritten "golden word" letter (letter of commendation) from 1956. Not an award doc, but related. JC

Just got back from a rather special little vacation but I'm still here .... I saw your post in the udarnik thread and I'll add a few docs myself a little later. It's just so hard to find really good pieces. How I long for the good old days!!!!

Alexei had the new Brass version of the SB for $210 which is about a 10th of the real thing. I still get these offered from time to time so they are out there, and for good reason. Not a copy but just as desirable as one. JC

I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one.... The title of Marquis/Marquess/Markgraf falls nicely between Duke and Earl/Count. JC

It looks like it has had a hard life but to me it looks like a good badge.... The mint marks look fine and interesting in that they were done before being assembled...(makes sense though I guess) Nice. JC

I just got Paul Murphy's great book "In the Name of a Living God" and I thought I'd post a few of my badges that I bought a few years ago. I managed to ID the one but i'm still unsure about the second... Any thoughts? Also if anyone has any others please post them.... Thanks JC Imperial visit badge January 6, 1933. The lettering on the front seems to differ slightly from the one in the book. ps. I think the box matches 'cause the inscription matches the badge's reverse.... but my Japanese is rather bad so I'm not sure........ok very very bad!!!!

I just asked my Russian Fiancee what the medal was for and it's a medal of thanks/ appreciation for the recipients part in the laying of a gas line across the USSR! JC

I found these two badges for sale and I was wondering if the were OK. I went to the goldpartypin website and looked at the fakes etc. but was unable to come to a conclusion on this one... Any help would be much appreciated... Thanks. JC ps. I'm guessing it's a fake because the swastika doesn;t touch the inner rim, but what to I know... pps. I'm a complete novice in all things 3rd Reich so be gentle...

Very interesting medal you have there!! Last week ( maybe two by now), I visited Het Loo and I recall there were some old medals from a similar time period as yours that had a mounting system that one still finds on necklaces today. This method will not damage the medal/coin at all so it would be hard to prove either way but it's something to consider... Thanks for showing this great medal. Just a little update... It seems the natural order of things has been restored... A mukden Incident medal just sold for $56.55 and is just as nice as the one above although the case is slightly damaged.... Anyway I can now sleep easy again! JC newlisting
