    1. Hey guys, I love those documents. I have one for the 1st and 2nd class EK, but so far no KVK. Soon enough I suppose.
    2. OK, I can't stand it. My pride and joy.......
    3. Thanks again. Dave, Bobby Dazzler?? I love it.
    4. Don, You've got me drooling into my keyboard again!! Can you post a close up of the 65?? Just to humor me. It is indeed one of the nicest I've seen.
    5. That NSDAP group is enough to bring tears to your eyes.
    6. I did warn Nick ahead of time that Laurence and Darrell attract a bad crowd.... wub.gif
    7. John, Those are some fantastic looking medal bars. Hmmmm....... How much is in the account???? Nick, You popped in before I posted. WOW!!! Very nice.
    8. Roy and Don, Welcome. Good to see you here. Don, I still want that 65!!!!
    9. Hi Al, Welcome aboard. Spanges can be scarey. I have one example of each, and I made sure someone who knew what they were doing looked them over for me. I would sure like to get a nice 2nd class in a box though. The one I have is pretty worn, but a for sure vet acquired piece.
    10. Thanks Guys, If you can believe it, the guy I sold the first one to, called me today and asked if I wanted to buy it back. But that's OK, I like this one!!!
    11. Authority??? That's called self preservation!!! Besides, if you want to get all mushy, I'd miss you.
    12. Dave, I'm going to have to start looking for some nice photos. They really dress up a display. My next goal though, is a decent display cabinet. And that will be a compromise issue with the wife.
    13. Tony, Those are keepers. It's rare to know where these EKII's come from, and the story behind them is great. The brown paper is tissue paper. The new cross was wrapped in this tissue before being placed in the envelope. It protected the finish on the cross as they would slide around in the envelope. I try to collect crosses and packets that are original to one another. I have been fortunate in that so far I have also gotten the original tissue with each one. However, if a cross and packet came along that were matched and maker marked, I wouldn't turn it down.
    14. Just out of curiousity, what is a "fair" price for one of these now. Or, is there even an average due to their scarcity?? I know where I can buy three. Two in Europe, and the Euro is killer right now, and one in the US, but he seems to be asking just as much.
    15. You're not going anywhere mister..... I need protection from Darrell!!! That sure is a nice 26 though. Gotta love that frosty beading.
    16. Hi Shane, Glad to see you. I was keeping your latest find under my hat, but since you brought it up, I'm thrilled for you. I can't wait to see it posted here. Gives you a kind of tingly feeling, doesn't it??
    17. Darrell, Did you say yours is a second class?? Dave, Love that photo. A father and son??
    18. I'm just going to guess, and say Terrance??? I bet Gordon would like to see some of his displays. He really has a knack for putting together some beautiful KM displays. I think I will contact him.
    19. Limited??? You do realise you're killing me here!!! I guess if you have to be "limited", that's the way to go. Very nice crosses and medal bars. Thanks for sharing these, I love seeing them. I'd love to find one of those A types on a parade mount.
    20. Tony, This is where they need one on those screaming smileys as far as the paint. :violent-smiley-017: Still, a very nice cross. I'll check around and see if I can come up with a maker. Gordon, Super nice to have attributed pieces. I also have an L/19 EKI. It still has all it's paint with the exception of just a few chips on the date. Non magnetic, and what I can see, looks to be brass, or at least coppered. Dave, If I wasn't broke at the moment, I would have snatched that brass EKI you have.
    21. Nice crosses guys. Darrell, you're not going to bait me......
    22. Darrell, Was this type determined to have been made by Juncker?? I love the expression on the eagles face. Fierce looking. So many spanges, like IAB's, have crappy looking heads. This is really a nice, and unique piece.
    23. If you are familiar with the Osprey series of paperback books, in the Elite series, "The German Freikorps, 1918-23", by Carlos Caballero Jurado, is a very good little book. Lots of photos and illustrations including unit insignia.
    24. Thanks D. God, you guys are going to have me spending more money. I told myself I'd stay away from badges, but these are just irresistable.
