Nick, These were produced like standard EK's. In the other thread I was inquiring about whether or not the owner knew if the conversion had been done war time. This COULD have been a replacement or wearing piece for the field. Interesting piece either way. Dave, can you get a pic of the reverse, and possibly the suspension loop??

John, These are beautiful. Of all the "badges", the Luftwaffe are the most beautiful. Just my opinion guys, please don't jump on me. Thanks for this post, very informative. I hope the Luft guys will post more of these beauties.

Hi Jon, I believe they were soldered when issued. This may have come off a medal bar (my belief) as the ring is also somewhat smaller than the norm. When I recieved it, the ribbon was separate like when in a packet. It now resides next to it's brother, an A type.

Hey Guys, I know most of you have seen this before, but since there seems to be a lot of interest in the KVK's here, I thought I would throw it up for your review. It was discussed elsewhere and found to be good, and even another example like this showed up with a Detlev COA. The cross is marked "10" and in mint condition. The case is very generic, much like that of a wound badge. The color is maroon, and the top liner is not as blinding white as it appears.

Oh, you gentlemen got my attention with the Aux. Cruiser badges. I think this is the most attractive of the KM badges. I might be interested into venturing back into badges with some help. I got burned so badly in my early years I just gave up on them. Any suggestions for reference in the area of badges??

I love these hard cases but have had no luck at all finding one. I've seen a few that have a royal blue color flocking in the base. They are exceptionally beautiful.

Hi Greg, No, not rough at all. It's just like running your finger across a KVK. In fact, in normal room lighting, you could miss the pebbled finish if you didn't look for it. Jim
