Hallo benten, Walts = "Walter Mitty" a character in a US movie starring Danny Kaye as a guy who day dreams about being a success in many different roles, Doctor, Detective, Soldier etc..etc... Today its used to describe guys who buy military clothing and items to use to convince people they really were in the military. Like guys wearing S.A.S, Para, or French Foreign Legion T-Shirts etc.. etc.. Kevin in Deva.

Hallo Bob, perhaps there are a few more, who do exactly what you do: In general I find that requests for information are answered fairly quickly, but as many members have full time jobs, and families, as well other areas of military interest, then an odd thread gets missed out, after all we are only human. Thanks for supplying the relevant information with regards the item. Kevin in Deva. -

Hallo Gents noted this seller listing a swarm of old German Notes with very suspect Nazi rubber stampings:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WAFFEN-SS-TOTENKOPF-...1QQcmdZViewItem Kevin in Deva.

My Father-in-Law, Pavel, as a member of the Patriotic Guard. Outside the town of Cugir with daughter Adriana. (the future Mrs. Ryan ) Uniform was a Khaki Colour, shirt, Pants, and Khaki Beret with Brass Insignia. He used to guard the weapons fabrication plant in the town of Cugir, primary weapons made the Romanian Version of the Kalashnikov family of weapons. Kevin in Deva.

His Bavarian M.V.O. Cross is on backwards as well!! And he seems very proud of his old German Legion of Honor with Combatant Insignia as well. If the Treudienst is an original he would be taking a chance to be seen publicly wearing it even on backwards possibly having to risk a de-nazification course, unless he only wore it for this studio portrait I don't have any reference pictures of the 1957 types of this award. Well to my untrained eye, it still looks like the bar has been messed with, no doubt the items are real, but whats the point of buying a fantasy bar? As I said before in my posts I dont like the way the seller arranged the pictures, without showing a clear shot of the ribbon bar rear. Kevin in Deva.

Seems somebody liked it enough to bid: EUR 1.422,99 for it http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...A:IT&ih=025 I don't like the way the seller did not show a full back view of the item, his pictures were carefully arranged so as NOT to show the rear fully in view. Somebody has took and expensive Lemon in my opinion, considering, he has only 69 deals on Ebay. ludwigderbayer1 (69*) Kevin in Deva
