Chris Boonzaier
Not really a display, but my wifes grandfathers tunic.Bottom right is a Bernd von Arnim cap tally (his ship).... I had to look over 10 years to find one, seems to be the scarcest destroyer tally... Murphys law....
KM-SPAIN
Chris, really nice tunic, and more if it comes from your family.Tunics with Narvik shields are very rare.

meyer
Eduardo, that schutzensnur of yours, it is the 4e stufe, right and also the highest one if i'm correct?
KM-SPAIN
Eduardo, that schutzensnur of yours, it is the 4e stufe, right and also the highest one if i'm correct?Yes this is the highest grade, the 4th, but it hasn't any device because this one is the quality model of the maker. With the blue cord could be for the rifle, machine gun or light flak gunners and observers, depending of the devices.
meyer
Thank you for the reply Eduardo, but i don't really understand all of it.What do you mean with "it doesn't have any device"?Do you mean that the km schnur was used for several parts of the kriegsmarine? The same cord for flak personnel, artillerie personnel etc.?Is this what you mean?
KM-SPAIN
Depending of the color of the cord (blue or blue and aluminium) , the color of the device (black, silver or gold) and the kind of device, you have the four grades of each branch.- Devices colors: 1st grade black, 2nd silver, 3rd gilt and 4th gilt with the medallion (as mine).- Rifle and machine gun - blue cord with circular groove devices.- Light AA - blue cord with a winged shell device.- Chief gun crews - blue and aluminium cord with winged shell device.- Torpedo gunner - blue and aluminium cord with torpedo device.I hope this is clear.
