Guest Rick Research
Much that was, is lost:[attachmentid=5156]Used to be mine (note the "Lippe Lawsuit" Medal 1897 version in 4th place)[attachmentid=5155]Close up of the double Lippe-Detmold NC pair and "white-black" EKPurged out the "boring" noncombatant stuff when I had my initial interest in Soviet 10 years ago.Oh, sure, I got Commie Gems then that aren't around NOW... but then neither are bars like these, wah! Waah!
Guest Rick Research
Oh the humanity![attachmentid=5158]Above WAS once mine too!Oh, what a fuel wuzzI! And yet, saved THIS noncombatant Oldenburger below[attachmentid=5159][attachmentid=5160]And this one, to an African tropical diseases expert who died in China in 1900:[attachmentid=5161]And sometime in the 1980s, a dimwit split up the ribbon bar which became MINE from the medal bar, which shows what the exact ribboned awards were-- from the 2002 Siebentritt collection sale:[attachmentid=5162]Note that this guy was a civilian in BOTH wars, so no Hindenburg Cross! Guest Rick Research
Hmm. Obvious how much passes to us from the Evil Twin, innit? Still mine, because I love SETS:[attachmentid=5239]and Brunswick too, the "yellow-blue" ribbon reversed from normal combatant colors:[attachmentid=5238]
Guest Rick Research
A very nice set to an ex-career Bavarian military Beamter:[attachmentid=5241]And some Red Cross-ish related ribbon bars. The Top four has incorrectly placed the Prussian Red Cross Medal before the Hindenburg Cross, and adds mystery to the mix with the Mecklenburg and Hessian ribbons. This is a LATE Godet, typical chracteristic gray backing and brass hinge. In the middle, a double Prussian Red Cross and finally an eerily familiar "tiny" that was probably actually worn as a civilian suit lapel rack. Where HAVE I seen this before?[attachmentid=5242]
