Christian J
I've got two questions for you.First: Is this case pre-45? (thinking that the GERMANY marking with D.R.G.M seems like a strange combination, don't know what the ROFRI might stand for)Second if there still is hope: Is the inlay original to the case?Pretty high quality to the piece, made of some kind of bakelite. It came with a nice FR marked piece.
Glenn R
From the photographs the insert looks to be original to the case and of a period type pattern. I wouldn't like to comment on the age of the case though, not seen one before.Cheers,Glenn.
Tony
Could ROFRI be Robert Friedrichs GmbH? The company was established in 1930. http://www.rofri.de/Firmenprofil/firmenprofil.htmlTony
Riley1965
It's good to see the ribbon retainers in good shape. Doc

PKeating
I've seen cases like this, but just three in more than thirty years. The "Germany" thing isn't a problem as this jeweller was probably internationally-minded. I don't think there's a problem with this case. In fact, it's gorgeous. Find a nice EK2 for it.PK
