Bob Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Just a little pic I found deep in my mongolia collection. A small pic which dropped out of a packet of documents.A mean looking Mongolian!
Ed_Haynes Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Looks like a true "fun guy" and that snappy state security leather coat just reinforces the image. You say this photo fell out, loose? Sad, for it would be nice to see the document matches with.

I just wish we could research all these Mongolian awards sooner rather than later... just the thought (dreaming): detailed service records, photographs, etc.

Vatjan Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 He must have been tall too, because you can see from the perspective of the pic, the photographer had to "shoot" upwards. Maybe it could have been a very little photographer of course, mmm Jan
Stogieman Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Or.... maybe fear made him lower himself a bit to show proper respect... ;>)
Eric Gaumann Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 With a face like that it's easy to see why groups like Cheka, Gestapo, CIA &c can be so successful in what they do.Then again it's dangerous to judge a book by it's cover. This guy might have been gentle shepherd and the father of a happy family.
