Hauptmann
Hi Grant,My friend... once again you've been outdoing yourself... some terrific additions to your DDR collection! That cap badge is one I didn't even know about... but that's the great thing about all this as we learn something new each and every day. Keep up the great work... you'll have enough to fill a wing in a museum before too long. Dan

ehrentitle
Again of the beaten track slightly , my first tunic for a Para Haupman :Dan - Great medals but the para tunic appears to be a put together of mostly original parts. The para badge however is the one from the early 1960 and less than 300 were awarded and the original is extremely rare. These were restruck by the original maker shortly after the fall of the wall. It's hard to tell from the photo is the material wool or gaberdine?
Grant Broadhurst
Hi ehrentitle,I,ve posted more pics of this tunic on the East German section , can you enlighten me as to why it,s a put together ?ThanksGrant

Great badges all, especially the mini qual badges for the lapel which are relatively hard to get. I don't ever recall seeing mini-badges for the post-1986 qual badges.
