Deruelle
Very nice. Love the Turkish ribbons. It's interresting that the ante penultienne and the penultienne ribbon is the same. Thanks for sharingRegardsChristophe

Claudio
Sorry for my "gaffe" Heiko! Maybe it's the heat (I am in India right now)... it's about 36 ?C at 2100... My brain is gone. By the way these ribbon bars are very nice indeed, typical combination and construction for a Kriegsmarine Angeh?riger!Ciao,Claudio
Guest Rick Research
Now that is an EXTREMELY interesting "lace on and off" ribbon bar-- a type I have never seen before. THAT was one smart guy! No sewing it on and off, that way. Brilliant! My first impression was that this was a NAVY ribbon bar, but a quick flip through of Crews 1897-1903 (the range for no 1897 Centenary Medal but got XXV in 1920 for double sea and war service) didn't turn anyone up. MIGHT be Reichsheer.I'd say the reason there is no Medjidie on the smaller bar, and yet there is a long service (I am assuming this must be an XXV, so 1920+ not a pre-war LD2 or LD1) is because that was a COMMANDER grade Medjidie, worn at the neck-- often found in "Kleindekoration" wear on German ribbon bars. Majors and that equivalent got that grade-- and German officers in Turkish service were "bumped up" a grade-- so Captains could end up with that class of the Order. Absolutely terrific ribbon bars.Shoelace...
derGeneral
Maybe the longservice cross is a crown order with the false ribbon ?
Stogieman
Two things I really like about this pair of bars:A) Very hard to find a mounted, miniature VDF Bar from OldenburgB) The Turkish Awards with correct saber bars.... ditto!

ccj
How does the top ribbon bar attach to the uniform? It looks like it has a string that threads through loops.
