Chris Boonzaier
You have all seen this before I think, but I still enjoy posting it. From the wifes relative. great, great uncle 3 times removed, somewhere around the corner, etc. etc.He was a language teacher and got the flower war medals for monitering allied radio broadcasts in an attempt to see if there were any signs the allies would go to war if the Germans marched in. VtwinVince
Very nice group, Chris, from Kaiserreich to Drittes Reich to Bundesrepublik. I particularly like the look of that MVO.
Ulsterman
There is an MVO list-or a potential one. What was his name?perhaps we can track him down...... Pity he never had them all mounted-he'd be a one-man 20th century German history lesson.By the way-a gold and a silver Anschluss medal, or is that a Sudeten one? Chris Boonzaier
INdeed, it is Sudeten and Austria. His name was Cornel Dumbacher, was a leutnant der Reserve. All I know was he lived in Schmeeberg, close to W?rzburg, so may have been in the infantry regiment Wrede. In April 1915 joined a Feldersatzbataillon and then went off to the front, the whole time on the Western front in an unknown Bavarian unit.
