Paul R Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 Welcome your thoughts on this eagle thanks, PaulI think that Bob would be able to give some insight on this area!
Luftwaffe Rules Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Right now I dont think I agree with the way its feet and the swastika is shaped. Im by no means an expert and Ive only owned one LW M. 43 cap in my life and for a very short time(traded it for a LW desert shirt) but I dont think it should be shaped like that. All the best, Jon
Paul R Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I am not accustomed to seeing the the type backing material on which the embroidery is placed. Can you please provide some photos of the entire cap, inside and out?Again, I am not too experienced on Officer M43's so someone with more experience on these should make some more comments.Paul
Jos Le Conté Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I think it's Ok..I've a similar one removed from a cap and the weaving structure on the back is just fine. There are quite some patterns around.Jos.

Bob Lyons Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 The lighter coloured backing was worrying me a bit, if Jos gives it the thumbs up, then sleep tight tonight....Bob

Jos Le Conté Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Here's one I've to compare..Except for the dark blue backing it's the same eagle.Jos.
Bob Lyons Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 Thanks for showing that one Jos, Paul asked me about the example that started this thread, and I said that I had two examplesand had probably seen another couple over the past few years, so wasn't really up to speed on them, good to be able toexpand these horizons. Yeah the colour was what had me getting worry lines, but you cleared that up quickly!ThanksBob
