Snoopy Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Hi againI have a question. Was the piped trade badges, like the badge in the picture above, used only by NCO's?Snoopy
Paul R Posted May 28, 2007 Author Posted May 28, 2007 Hi Snoopy, The trade badges were used, per my references, NCOs and lower ranks. Here is the latest addition to the Signals thread. A single Hermann Goring Division Jan-Mar1943 collar tab for signals.
Bob Lyons Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 A Signals Major's 4 pocket tunic, this one belongs to Mr. Mike Swan, and is a fantastic example of an officer's 4 pocket tunic....
Bob Lyons Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 A couple more photos from Mike, he took these shots of a tunic that is with a local militaria dealer, who will be selling this one soon, it is a fliegerbluse, which has had the breast eagle and collar tabsreplaced, but a lovely set of sewn in boards with chain stitched 'OL' devices....
Bob Lyons Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 and another view of one of the straps from the fliegerbluse...Bob
Paul R Posted June 10, 2007 Author Posted June 10, 2007 Interesting tress on the shoulder straps. I have never seen that type before! Great tunics Bob! Tell Mike I said Thank you for the images.
airborne steve Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 (edited) Here is my signal FB. Nothing special but all factory original and mint. I almost aquired a OKL, FB from Bill Shea a few years back. Bummer, I sat on it too long and missed out. Edited June 24, 2007 by airborne steve
Paul R Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 That is another beautiful signals example. It has the later waffenfarbe configuration. What is the LBA date on the tunic?
airborne steve Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 That is another beautiful signals example. It has the later waffenfarbe configuration. What is the LBA date on the tunic?Hi Paul again,The LBA date on my signal is "43". The material is better on this tunic than on my medic tunic which is dated "LBA42".Steve
