Hi Guys, does anyone have a ray-backed two-piece wound badge? I have one in brassed silver ,pin has a tiny ' V ' stamped on it. The only other ray-backed example I have seen is in Niemanns book and that is a screw-back. If any one has an example could they post a picture or two? Many thanks,Ferg1.

here's one that is often attributed to the berlin retailer friedrich sedlatzek, as they can be found with that firm's hallmark, and were available in both 800 silver and plated versions. this unmarked exa mple is magnetic with a copper wash, which was then silver plated. two vent holes

The only one I know of was written by William Hamelman in the '90's.  It's pretty basic and the photos aren't that great but, it does cover WWI, WWII and the 1957 versions.  I'm pretty sure it's out of print and used copies can be hard to find.

    Beau,

I have seen the book on amazon(?), and the review was poor. I guess it is a small niche collectable area that has not been written.

    Thanks,

    Chuck
