    Hallo Gents

I picked up these 7 badges at the Collectors Fair in Deva today 23 June 2007.

I am presuming they are from the Communist period but if I am mistaken please feel free to move to the corect

    area of the site.

Larger pictures of the individual badges to follow, they are made of aluminum.

    Nice ones!

The use of Leningrad (and not "St. Petersburg") and of "Volograd" (and not Stalingrad) suggests a date period for these lovelies?

    Hi,

you can find these and other badges in the 60s, 70s and 80s in the Sovietunion in large quantities for some cent. Mostly you can find the original price on the reverse, e.g. 10K, 15K or 25K; 10, 15 or 25 kopeck.

Kevin, here are some more, but not all, and two of them with a different design. The Odessa badge is with a makers mark and the price = 10K

    Hallo Speedytop

many thanks for the info and pictures, especially some of the ones

    missing from my set.

I believe there were 16 locations that were awarded the designation "Hero Cities" so I

think it would be correct to take that figure as a "set"??
