Kev in Deva Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 Hallo Gents I picked up these 7 badges at the Collectors Fair in Deva today 23 June 2007.I am presuming they are from the Communist period but if I am mistaken please feel free to move to the corectarea of the site.Larger pictures of the individual badges to follow, they are made of aluminum.Kevin in Deva.

On ebay you see them also sometimes. 12 cities and the fortress Brest-Litowsk got during the soviet period the title Hero City (list below).- Moskau- Kiev - Leningrad (St. Petersburg)- Stalingrad (Wolgograd)- Minsk- Odessa- Sewastopol- Noworossisk- Kertsch- Tula- Murmansk- Smolensk- Brest-Litowsk (fortress) regardsAndreas

Mostly you can find the original price on the reverse, e.g. 10K, 15K or 25K; 10, 15 or 25 kopeck.Kevin, here are some more, but not all, and two of them with a different design.
